International tax or income docs could be considered non-standard…

All of mine were submitted in Feb.

and the date changed to 3/3 for a couple of them. I did not notice till @Jayku mentioned on here that his changed … but his was more recent. Mine don’t think means anything but closer to date definitely means a lot. I saw that with USC, 3 days before the date, I kept getting requests for documents. And we were accepted.

Your posting history is a very long list of comments about small portal changes on your applicant accounts at a collection of selective colleges. I worry that you are stressing yourself and others with your portal obsessions, inferences and anxieties. Please breathe and stop the speculation. If a college needs something from you, they will let you know; the rest is out of your control. Answers are coming very soon.

3/11 for us

I don’t think so it is most case. But likely this isn’t bad sign at least. I know my son will not be accepted in my opinion . But never no also. ^^. So far my guessing was 100% correct that someone in our school got into top school, the school did not accept any one from our school anymore. But never know.

Many high performing kids at our affluent public high school apply to ivies. Approximately 30 kids apply to Penn each year, but they only accept 1-2 kids from our high school per year. Looking at the Naviance dataset collected over the past twenty years also does not show a noticeable difference between students accepted ED versus RD. Average stats for our high school are 4.6 (out of 5.0) GPA, 1480/32 (SAT/ACT).

I believe a lot of students at our school see the average and think they have a chance when the reality is that stats need to be quite a bit higher in addition to all the other requirements for highly selective colleges (e.g. excellent LORs, essays, etc.).

Hooked applicants are seen accepted more often in ED than RD round, among whom athletes and/or URM recruits did drag down the average more or less.

That’s the thing with Scoir and Naviance, they don’t indicate who was hooked. Counselors get that indicator, but it’s suppressed on student and parent accounts. Still, sometimes you see a dot on the scattergram, and you know who that student was.

My normal assumption is any dot way outside the usual admit box, surrounded by rejections, was likely hooked in some way.

The tricky bit, to me at least, is knowing how many people with good numbers were also hooked.

Right.

Kids knew it to some extend.

My S24 has identified some dots, but it is really only a small fraction of the total in his case.

SAME!!! It feels like D24 applied ED a year ago! lol

Oops didn’t mean to start this here, don’t know how to delete my original post. This was misinterpretted and taken to different places… apologies

Off topic posts deleted. There are existing threads in the political forum and the parents forum if people wish to continue discussing antisemitism on campuses.

Hi,
What happens if we didn’t even submit modt of the financial documents until now? And they sent email that the decision date will be 3/28… and to continue to submit financial documents. Thanks

You can continue to submit your financial aid documents. This does not affect your admission decision.

Extremely nervous, this week will be a huge week for my daughter’s decisions. She loved the campus at UPenn.
