I guess you would see it only if you applied for financial aid? Just asked, my twins didn’t have anything from Penn today.

yh maybe that’s why

for those who applied can u guys access your fin aid portals. Mine says internal error

"## Financial Aid

You did not apply for financial aid."

Ours says this ^^^

And now it’s down.

Yes, I just checked I can see it. You all are talking about the portal which you get on clicking on ‘submit or review fin aid documents’ on the main portal, right?

CSS was in portal, but they requested tax forms and w-2, plus a form listing outside sources of funds (scholarships, etc). Obviously FAFSA is not there though we completed it in January.

I am just hoping that is a positive sign that they want more??

Penn doesn’t use IDOC, so you need to submit your tax forms and W-2s to Penn FA portal.

I read on Princeton Board, those who received the FinAid reminder email all got in without exception, somebody just did a stats over history for Princeton. Who has done the same stats for UPenn?

Seems unlikely since a lot of people got that mail and the only non-submitted document for me is the FAFSA which is common for all.

What’s interesting however is that my financial documents have a status date change, they’re all 9th March even though I uploaded them a lot earlier.

Penn has ~60k applicants: if everyone were to upload, FinAid office would be heavy-loaded, which seems not necessary a heavy workload at all. At the last minute, FinAid office only wants to remind those who are prospective students and have forgotten to fill in the form and submit the necessary fin docs, because students must submit. It’s pretty reasonable from the logistics standpoint. Don’t know, different colleges have different processes.
