@fatidiot yes and Yes
They are all alumni interviews @fatidiot but yes i did
Same! I don’t need the stress of music lmao @KateHBag
@sajeunesse I am a premed student in the College. And yes, if you are accepted a video will immediately start playing when you open the online letter. And I actually didn’t wait until I got home and I opened my letter on my iPad in a random bathroom XD, which I don’t really recommend doing. It was hard to drive home after something like that lol.
I was actually VERY surprised to be accepted, because I never thought that there was anything special about me/my application. I do not have any significant hooks, no legacy, not an athlete, no super special ECs or national awards. So to all of you that think you have no chance, trust me that is not true at all. Just because you aren’t an Intel winner or a piano prodigy doesn’t mean that Penn won’t see something special with your application:)
Oh same because I was super nervous > < @andpeggyy
oh okay but does that mean that they are considering us already? As in like we have already passed the first round of their evaluation perhaps? @xindisun99 @sajeunesse
That’s insane hahahha i would not be able to drive after that either @Makooks that is definitely inspiring to someone with no real hooks like me!
@fatidiot nah most people get interviews, its just another way for UPenn to get to know you, but overall interviews have little weight in the decision making process
@fatidiot my family friend on Alumni Board said that although Penn states they offer interviews to most applicants and try to offer them for everyone, they really can’t offer them for everyone and do try to give them to some better people. but it really is no way shape or form a “first round”
@andpeggyy why was it bad?
@sajeunesse aren’t you legacy thou? That’s a hook
@AF500 yes but tbh I heard it does not really help any more
I appreciate the work you put in! And it is the closest data we can estimate from publicly available documents. But I would be more conservative with Wharton ED acceptance rate since it is the hardest school to get into and that most of recruited athletes, legacies and developmental families (famous people, scions of dynasties and business empires) who apply ED to Penn pick Wharton… I would think it is in the 15% range. Again, just like you, speculating…! All the best anyways!
oh okay ahahaha okay thank you! @sajeunesse @xindisun99
@fridaydeathday Wharton…hbu?
They accept a little more than half of the freshmen class through ed usually
@sajeunesse oh. Well good luck then:)
@NoahTapp I’m M&T too! Eh, I’m barely finishing season one right now, but it’s good so far! I’m going to need another show to distract me after I finish it though sigh.
@sajeunesse I didn’t think I answered the alumni’s questions well enough, especially since he kept trying to find a topic to debate with me but I completely blanked out.
Thanks you too! I wish everyone could get in on this thread!
