Maybe this is a stupid question, but when you log on to Common App are your parent’s ED agreements downloaded or does it just say “submitted”?
I’m kind of freaking out, because mine just says submitted so I don’t know whether or not that’s a clue as to what I should expect to hear tomorrow… :-S
@xoxo27 mine says “submitted” as well. I don’t think it means anything. I think it only comes into question when it comes to matriculate. Like if you need to try to break the ED agreement without acceptable financial reasons then maybe they use that.
If in your Penn Portal it says 2017 Early Decision under Entry Year/Plan then I think you’re fine.
how do you see that the ED agreement specifically is downloaded? mine just saws common app, questions, recommenders and FERPA, writing supplement and theyre all downloaded
like I’m getting my decision on Dec 10th this Saturday… 4 in the morning…this is crazy…anyway, I won’t be at school. and won’t have my classmates around me. But I still think I just can’t take it, I don’t want to check it by my own.
Goodluck for tomorrow guys! I won’t be logging on anymore as i am getting way too stressed haha; i believe in all of you and i hope you all get what you want!
Looking at the websites for all of the other schools I’m applying to, trying to get super excited about those so I’m not too disappointed if it doesn’t go my way tomorrow. It’s actually working a bit; Tufts has a really great admissions blog.
I just have to say for all the people really freaking out about decisions, it’s really all about everyone else’s expectations of you. Parents, friends, relatives…if it was just you dealing with a rejection would it be so traumatic. You guys are all intellectually bright! You have to know that this decision isn’t going to doom you to a life of failure. If anything, it’s just a gentle push in another direction. Not every great business person went to Wharton, not every successful person went to Harvard…in fact its probably slanted the other way. People who succeed are generally hungry for something and keep going no matter how many rejections they get. A “no” is just a detour on the way to the top. For people preparing themselves by putting up signs saying “you are rejected”…take those down. Its a bad message to your psyche. One way to look at this is if you get accepted at U Penn you may be missing your destiny somewhere else. Screw the people around you. I’ll bet every one of you worked your asses off for most of your lives. I know I did. Why should what anyone thinks come down to getting an accept from one school. Take a walk, pet a dog, watch a great movie…and if tomorrow brings notice that you’re not admitted, screw em! You can tell your story someday in an interview of highly successful people…
