@icarus29 I agree with the above. Also if you’re tired of hearing the sappy “it’s not your worth” stuff like I am, getting rejected is also just narrowing your choices down to the right school for you. If a school doesn’t want you, and you know you can handle them, who cares? Go make them regret it. That’s my mentality in this process and I’m ready.

Even if the news is not so good, do not be disappointed! There are so many amazing students in the ED pool. They just can not take that many. For those deferred, you still have higher chance (than RD) to get in. good luck.

On the Penn FAQs it says last year about 11% of those deferred were admitted.

Rejected. Not the result I wanted but I am happy for those who got him. We had 13 people apply early from my school and it looks as though the two who earned admission had legacy. While I congratulate everyone who got I, I would tell everyone else who was rejected or deferred that this is not a referendum on you as a student or person. There are factors far beyond our control, many of them which are unfortunately related to money. I would like to say that we will all be happy in the end but I simply can’t. Things don’t always work out and all we can give is our best shot

Acceptance seems to have dropped a lot this year. My friend in HS got deferred and I honestly thought he was very likely to get in (FBLA Nationals + ISEF + Salutatorian + National Merit)
