apparently someone called penn and they said “Called Penn, they were more vague because waitlist started moving a bit later. They said rolling from May till the end of June. They also mentioned that the number of students they take off the waitlist is more so based on qualified people on the waitlist with updates vs filling undergrad spots that weren’t enrolled, but idk how much I would believe that.”
seems a little too good to be true considering when another person emailed they said they don’t know if they are taking kids off. Anyone willing to call to confirm this info?
Calling an admissions office about waitlist movement is not going to garner any sort of reliable or useful information. The person answering the phone typically doesn’t even have the information you’re looking for. The answers will be vague on purpose. It’s not like the decision makers in the room are saying “Hey, if anyone calls tell them we’re giving X number of waitlist offers on Y date.” It just doesn’t work that way.

Yes I also just called them and they said the waitlist will start moving mid or late May.
