Thank u for calling!!!
Did they tell how many they’ll be picking?
thankyou for the update!!![]()
No, but I saw a theory on reddit that it could be more than last year because there were 10k less applications this year due to the SAT requirement coming back; if they want to keep their acceptance rate low or at least at 5% like it was last reported then they would have to accept 500 fewer people, meaning that the yeild may not be as predictable this year so maybe that might lead to more waitlist admits. It’s just a theory though.
someone on reddit made a call, and apparently there’s only gonna be a single wave where everyone gets their decision.
That’s rlly interesting, it’s never happened before, what if ppl reject their waitlist offer?
don’t they usually do another wave beginning of june? I lowkey wish someone could call again and ask bc it seems rlly weird
Just got my friend to call them! He said there will be multiple big waves of people getting off of the waitlist and they don’t know when the first one will be yet!
ahh, sounds good!! hope those waves are indeed big enough!
Waitlisted student here! I know that Penn suggests sending one LOCI/Update document in full by May 1st, but in my initial LOCI I discussed applying for an internship (gov. legislative) and I ended up getting said internship yesterday. Should I email the regional email address about this, or just leave it up to chance at this point, since I didn’t do anything spectacular?
That’s a rlly cool opportunity, do u have any other updates? I would lump a few together before sending it. Also how did u get ur regional ao’s email?
Thanks! I probably don’t have enough updates to make it worth while. When I mean regional admissions email I mean the ones for the region, I don’t think AO’s emails are public, but the regional emails are. (ex. northeastteam@admissions.upenn.edu etc.)
If someone rejects their acceptance then penn will give it to someone else on the waitlist that fills that institutional priority. Also if you get accepted off the waitlist I think they only give you 48 hours to take the spot.
I think you’re still able to upload documents in the portal.
ppl before said u get 2 weeks?
No, after a tour I asked one of the admissions staff and they said you get 48hours.
someone on reddit said penn sent them an email saying they’re releasing decisions on May 14th at 7pm. can’t confirm it tho, they might be lying
nvm, they misread the post as transfer decisions
oh for the love of god please MOVE
Have they dropped decisions on a Friday before?
