soozie- Urban Dictionary: meathead;

(Be careful what you search at that site. Some of the terms can be offensive/shocking.)

Well, at least now I know it’s not just on my floor–a guy was thrown out (after months of complaints) for repeatedly peeing in the stairwell, carrying around a milk jug full of urine, flashing, writing racial slurs on the walls, vomiting in the lounge and covering it with a chair (to be discovered a week later in search of the source of a putrid smell) etc., etc., etc. Although it’s a crime he still gets housing at all, at least (from what I’ve heard) he has been moved to a room with a guy who supposedly urinated on his roommate’s bed.

And your college hasn’t taken any disciplinary action?

Is this a small or large college/university in NY? Sounds like he also needs psychiatric help.

They just threw him out of the dorm a few weeks ago. Psychological help? Maybe. AA? Probably.

One of my friends (who’ll be my roommate next year) has a roommate who urinated on his computer when he was really drunk. Apparently this sort of thing happens at a lot of places.

So…any news on what happened to the Swattie urinator(s)?

Inquiring minds want to know…;)

Another cover up, I suspect.

Yes, don’t forget: Nobody talks; everybody walks. :p

Unfortunately, that could very well be the way it plays out. That’s often the case with the frat-boys all going “Eddie Haskell” in unison. “Oh no, Mrs. Cleaver, we were all studying for our Classics exam that night…weren’t we Wally? Oh, I must add, that’s a lovely dress you are wearing today, Mrs. Cleaver.”

In any case, we won’t hear the outcome unless somebody knows a student in that dorm. Classes are over and the paper has published its last edition.

Good grief… I really hope you all have bigger fish to fry.

P.S. There is absolutely no proof that the person involved in this incident was an athlete. Let’s try to keep the stereotyping and misgeneralizations under control.

^^^Nor that it was a frat boy. It could just as easily have been one of those Swat druggies high on hallucinogens.

My guess - SWIL (Swarthmore Warders of Imaginative Literature. “Like other cults, we also engage in ritual activities” http://www.sccs.swarthmore.edu/org/swil/ – such as urinating on clean laundry, I guess.

First of all, they don’t wear helmets.

Second, in all fairness, they are very harmless and intellectual, their rituals consist of:

“ritual activities such as story reading, round singing, attending science fiction conventions and renaissance faires, and presenting weekly movies. Our most famous event is the Pterodactyl Hunt, an all-campus roleplaying event whose objective is to exterminate the last of the venomous pterodactyls. We also publish a literary magazine called BEM: Bug-Eyed Magazine.”

collegialmom - your post reminded me of something that is decidedly off topic, kind of. I saw a T-Shirt today that ranks among my top ten. Plain black T-Shirt with white lettering:
“I AM NOT A GEEK!
I’m a Level 12 Paladin!”

Meantime, this is a “heartbreaking work of staggering” immaturity and nothing more. It certainly does not reflect on the school in any way that I can find.

thanks for the clarification

I agree, DukeEgr93: And it’s a lot better than the current discussion of the Duke topic in this forum, which frankly is getting a bit depressing.

Not that I have anything but respect for Duke and its students. Although the allegations are serious and need to be resolved, the school is being caught up in ugly politics. I hope that Duke students will somehow become stronger for the experience. Maybe they will learn a lesson about (underage) drinking and its hazards.

And whoever did this at Swarthmore will hopefully learn the same lesson.

And what is the “same lesson”? Are you suggesting underage drinking goes on at Swarthmore? Shocking.

Eddy_Mercx:What is your relationship with Swarthmore?

Are you a student, parent ot ■■■■■? You disappeared for months, only to reappear with sarcastic comments about Swarthmore and its students.

Maybe a reincarnation of sorts?

I asked the DA if he had made any progress on the investigation. He told me, “We will do our analsysis… and you do your analysis.”

(rimshot)
