USA Biology Olympiad 2006

I hate how there is so much emphasis at camp on organic chemistry and on the IChO

Any other suggestions? Is Schaum’s outline on College Chemistry good?

I’ll basically have to self-study orgo in that case.

Is there an English olympiad?

I don’t think so.

there should be

except english is neither a science nor a math

Think again…

<a href=“GOLBOS : Agen Taruhan Online Terpercaya Aman | Daftar GOL BOS”>GOLBOS : Agen Taruhan Online Terpercaya Aman | Daftar GOL BOS;

Yeah, it is listed on the “Olympiads” main site.

There’s also the linguistics olympiad, if you’re into that sort of thing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Linguistic_Olympiad

philosophy isn’t english. it’s a social science. >_>

I’m just gonna read what I can.

Anyone had any experience with Stanford EPGY Physics courses?

Philosophy’s not english, but it’s certainly not a social science either. Economics, psychology, and sociology are social sciences. That is, they are the science of societies and they way societies work. Philosophy is a different creature entirely.

Regardless, i’m not sure of how they make it into an olympiad.

To Slurpz: (a bit tardy, as I was out of town) Yeah, I’m going.

Cooljoe, I would recommend skimming through a few AP chemistry textbooks and see which one you think has the style that fits you the most. That’s what I did, although I must admit, I switch between books very frequently, hehe.

I got a 102…81 on parts A and B and 21 on C. I didn’t make it…I wonder what the cutoff was.

Kind of like that 117 from last year, right, biomaster? ;)

interesting…3 qualifiers from NJ. haha would have been 4 if someone hadn’t ditched us to do chem :o

foolonthehill161:

Thanks for responding. Did you make UNSCO? If so, is that basically all you did?

purge: 117, you say? I would have sworn he said he got 123… Heh.

Anyone have the list of finalists? 3 from NJ is nothing, there were 5 last year. Must be something in the water.

As far as finalists go, is anyone returning to camp from last year?

@cooljoe

foolonthehill161 is a first year applicant to USNCO.
