USC 2009 transfer thread

Rodeo- is ur theater/english-crosslisted class the course that ur taking for the english composition requirement?

It may be, I have not checked because I have already fulfilled that requirement a few times over :p

thats cool a lot of ppl are only applying to USC  for its its basically just USC and boulder, because the other ones are incomplete and i dont see myself finishing them… :stuck_out_tongue: too lazy…

it just makes me happy that i have boulder as a backup… but i must say, boulder is getting higher and higher, its hard not to let it pass USC sometimes … i mean, usc will be soo awesome, and spec. schoolwise… but then there really isnt much that can compare to the mountains in colorado… like at least 5 different places within 2 hours of driving… that is pretty bomb… :)

ns89- where do u go right now?

im at hawaii pacific university… hate it…

yea i think u needa come back to the mainland…haha

(ten char)

whats the deal with putting down deposits? are you allowed to do more than one or what?

yeah if you hear from another school before USC, which you probably are and then change your mind after you find out from USC then you can withdraw from the other school. BUT. you don’t get your money back.

damn… and usc is my first choice… and i have a school now that wants a deposit by may 1st

is it a certain UC???

it’s $100. so at least it’s not as much as deposits for private schools.

no its vandy

ohh dang. well i don’t know how much the deposit is, but i’m sure USC is worth it.

Anyone taking English 44 (Classical Mythology)? Worst class I’ve ever taken in my life…

^ i took mythology, a 380 class as a freshman… bad choice :(

Guys, let’s say we get in as transfers.

Apart from books and tuition, what do we have to pay?

Parking permit, transfer orientation fee, and a commitment deposit? How much do they cost?

Is the commitment deposit ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY?

i’m NOT too positive about these numbers, but i’m maybe 88% sure.

the parking is 200 for a permit.
the orientation is like 120 or something.
and i’m not sure for the deposit; but it’s definitely necessary.

the deposit is like 250 or 300 dollars. and is necessary.

So guys, I’m guessing in about a month (give or take a few days) many of us current sophomores will have heard whether or not we have been accepted into USC. What say you!?!

I agree. It’s kind of nerve-wrecking to think about.

Do you guys think that they will ask me for an SGR??

I will have 36 units after this spring. None of them are pre-reqs or GE classes (I did those last semester) and then plus my AP classes, I will have 60 units; once class short of 64. What do you think my chances of an SGR or straight admittance (hopefully) are.

I’ve heard that if you are applying with 32 units and under then most likely they’ll ask. I’m kind of hoping they don’t.
