USC 2009 transfer thread

omg marco i read the first part of your post and i freaked out too! well hopefully if theyre on your financial aid theyre on decisions so hopefully we’ll hear soon

Pasadena City College needs to post spring grades already! I hate being stuck on this last step.

lol yeah i hope they get this going for all of us!

AMorrison, yeah they do! have you told them that you NEED everything before the 30th? well, you can always fax in your grades, but you prob don’t want to resort to that!

didnt they post grades already? i got them today

Yelnats - I think it depends on when the instructor turns them in, so it varies person to person. Glad you got yours though! It means at least they are attempting to put them up!

They just came through! Hooray!

I just got mine. At first sight I almost **** a brick and had a heart attack: A, A, C, C. AHHH!

Thankfully since then (about two hours ago) I spoke with my math professor and it turns out that a mistake was made so one of those C’s will be turned into a B.

Also, one of the C’s is for Biology, which I elected for Pass/No Pass. I’m gonna go over to their office tomorrow and rip someone a new one!

So in reality, I got A, A, B, Pass. Eh, transferitis kills. :)

good job grey!

does anyone happen to know about the classes at USC? like, rigor-wise?

Marco, don’t you have a 4.0 right now?

yup, i managed to keep it up for my spring semester too.

and you’re transferring from a cc in chicago?
to what department?
I think you have a really good chance…

mhm, i applied to CLAS as undecided.
thanks glor! :)

my biggest concern is that i only have 26 hours and a very weak HS GPA. idk, i hope my college GPA makes up for my past, but who knows. i feel confident some days and really pessimistic other days, lol.
what are your stats?

don’t worry I have a very weak HS GPA as well, and low SAT scores at that :frowning:
I’m applying as a sophomore, and I had a 3.6 GPA with my spring grades.
I’m applying to CLAS as well as an art history major
I have a feeling you really don’t need to worry especially since you know that they are reviewing your financial aid. Mine hasn’t been looked at since 4/6. haha

I also know that USC takes a certain percentage of out of state students, so you definitely have that to your advantage.

lol i think that the only reason they are looking at my fin aid is because i just faxed in my tax forms and stuff like 2 weeks ago :p

i hope that this works out, i can’t even begin to explain how scared i was to open that letter today! lol

and that’s a really good GPA too! i feel that a lot of the sophomores who got SGRs will get in (as long as we kept up our grades) because the committee needed us to finish our prereqs. when i called to verify that they had my spring grades the lady was reviewing my grades over the phone and said that she needed to check for my eng II class. so as long as you did just as good or better in the spring, i think we will def have a really good chance of getting in :)

I really hope so:)
USC is my first and only choice school.
My only setback is the area, but I think I might commute from home.
But I have a good feeling about tomorrow!!!
Wait, aren’t you 2 hours ahead of Cali?

I think USC should regulate this thread and see that we’re staying up worrying and take some pity…

and possibly speed up the admission process that’s depriving us of our sleep. -___________-

omgosh so much chatter today! everyone we need to find out by the end of this week… the ambiguity is not a pain because i’m impatient but more of an inconvenience because i seriously need to plan out my life right now lol…iunno about my chances though :(

it’s my only choice toooooooooooo! and i really really don’t want to spend another year at my CC, haha. oh wow, you must live pretty close! i wish i lived in cali, lol. i used to live in palm springs, but my fam (unwisely, lol) decided to move to the midwest.

i hope tomorrow is the day!!! only if it’s the day of good news though
mhmm, it’s 12:50 now. i have a test for my anthro class tomorrow, so i’m up late reading stuff that i should have read over the past few weeks, haha.

lol i know there is actually some action on this thread finally! collegehopeful, what are you stats? i’m sure you have a good chance if you received a SGR!

askdfjas;lfdk
i know, I live in La Crescenta.
Thats like 25-30 min away from USC.
The drive is disgusting though. If i’m stuck in traffic/rush hour, it’ll take me around… say… an hour?
And I REALLLLLLY want one of those USC ALUMNI license plates :frowning:
kasfasfdaslkfdja;dlfk!!!
