@Kulakai muhahahaha ;)

Yahh, pretty obvious ■■■■■.

Anyones, does everyone here feel pretty confident they will get in? Just kinda curious, not really sure why, but I feel pretty confident.

I feel confident but at the same time there is an equal amount of doubt. I’m guessing the majority of everyone on here feels the same.

@brianlee who is?

@foodmunkee - Trolly McEarlyadmit

@Kulakai ooohhhhh hahahaha

I feel pretty confident, but like Kulakai, I have an equal amount of doubt. I don’t know, maybe its the sheer volume of applicants that they receive every year (qualified applicants at that) and the limited amount of offerings that are available.

I think that my entire application is strong, but nothing is guaranteed. I’ve also spoken to a couple of Marshall recruiters on my campus and they’ve told me that 4.0 GPA students have been turned down over 3.6 GPA students in the past, which doesn’t bother me because I believe that anyone can get a 4.0 GPA…what matters is the part where they look for everything else.

@ Lustrous: Yep, I feel the same way as what Kulakai and Budlightyear said. However, that doubt part has been ebbing and flowing lately in my mind. It’s weird because I try to practice positive thinking, but that doubt of being accepted occasionally attempts to sabotage and overcome my positive thinking! So I fight it back with more positive thoughts (i.e. I WILL GET ADMITTED INTO USC!!!) ;D Yeah I know it sounds weird, but it’s probably because of all the anxiety/excitement building up because admissions day is getting closer and closer…lol

What other schools did you guys get in?
I got accepted to NYU and now I don’t feel very anxious, especially because NYU has better econ. dept. I’m considering USC heavily though, because I like warmer weather, hahah. When are we going to find out?

What’s the oasis link again?

Thanks Skyline. Does anyone know if after we get accepted can we take the foreign language placement test online?

@Olzhas USC is the only school I applied to hahahaha
Trojans all the way!!!

I’ve been accepted into Oregon and Arizona so far. I don’t want to go anywhere else other then USC though. I have been a Trojan my whole life, and I don’t like change :)

"Dear ******,

Your application is currently under review. For direct entry into the Business Administration major within the Marshall School of Business, you must have completed or be in the process of taking Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and a specific form of Calculus (one that articulates to USC’s Math 118 or Math 125). This information is clearly explained in all of USC’s transfer materials. Your academic history indicates that you will not have met the math requirement. Unless you have a transcript indicating that a Math 118 or Math 125 equivalent course has been completed or is in progress, we cannot consider you for the Business Administration major at this time.

We are writing to ask you if you would like us to consider you for an alternate major. You will find a list of majors at http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/private/1011/Form1_2010.pdf. As a potential incoming sophomore, you also have the option of selecting Undecided. Please understand that, if you are admitted, you will have the opportunity to re-apply for Business Administration once you have completed the three-course sequence. Please also understand that there is no guarantee that you will be admitted into the program as an internal transfer applicant.

Your prompt response is appreciated.

Fight On!"

Help please!!!
Would undecided hurt my chances? I’ve taken every pre rec for Marshall besides the Calc course and received an A.

@xxpendable How many units are you taking? My girlfriend is applying as a sophomore and has busted her ass(21 semester units completed-4.0 GPA-20 units in progress) so far. If you have a high amount of units, I would recommend going in undecided, as other majors have requirements that you may not have completed. You should probably call or e-mail your admissions counselor.

@rhandler I’ve completed 18 units and am currently taking 17. (All transferable with a 4.0). Undecided sounds like the best choice for me as well, on account that I have completed all except one pre rec for Marshall.

The good thing is it looks like they have started looking at our applications. Finally.

@xxpendable - Yes that would most likely be the best choice. Be sure to talk to your admissions counselor just to make sure this is a great choice for you. I have a friend who goes to USC that had a 4.0 with like 50 or 60 units completed after one year and he is having trouble getting into Marshall’s due to the amount of people that apply.

YAY!! Status change!!

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
We are reviewing your application. Sometimes we require additional information, so be sure to respond to any requests promptly. Transfer applicants are notified of their admission, or of a request for more information by June 1.

I hope everyone here is also receiving progress.
