@skyraptor yea, you should have just scraped by the 30 unit mark, make sure you send your winter grades as soon as possible, I had the registrar send mine last monday with a rush, if you want them to consider you for the 30 units and not look at your high school records/SAT scores, send them in ASAP, as they are reviewing the apps now!

i got a letter in the mail telling me to mail my winter grades yesterday. i mailed in my summer/fall '09 grades about 2 months ago… what does this mean o_O

@amorrison - if you do not mind me asking… did you leave high school early to start college early? that is what I did and I do not want to be rejected for that

Bah! Everyone getting a status change and I have one that nobody else has… what. the. hell. I WANT AN ACCEPTANCE PACKAGE… but I was also looking at last years thread and people were having their apps reviewed in mid-march, are they behind this year? Someone from my major got a request for an interview on March 20!!! That’s like, 10 days ago now.

@mreddiee ahhh man YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!! hahaha I’m currently taking 17 units right now and God knows why I took a 400 lvl class, especially since I’m a freshman -- That one extra unit I’m taking is for physical training for the Army ROTC. I was only taking it just so that I could stay healthy for this quarter (I’m planning to transfer to the Air Force ROTC, so I have to stay in shape consistently :D), but I was eventually pressured by the Captain and the Sergeant to sign up so I did -- If I didn’t I knew they would constantly pressure me to sign up for it hahaha I’m also taking a Urban Sociology 401, and MAN a freakin chapter is literally 50-70 pages long o_O. But since it’s interesting, I have a feeling I will do well in the class ( I didn’t fall asleep in class! yay! hahaha). I want that acceptance package in the mail NOW!!! hahahaha :D

@DreamingUSC ty for the info! I’ll be sure to get my letter of recommendation ASAP :)

@MBTown - Nope, I left to work. I have a five year gap between leaving school (2003) and returning (2008), with one ill-advised semester in 2004.

@MBtown/Amorrison - I dropped out of hs and then had a 7 year gap before starting college. I’m worse off than either of you in that regard. Hopefully they value work experience during those years.

I actually think the time off and the age gap has helped me. I have a perspective a 19 year old right out of high school doesn’t, and some wicked time management skills as a result of concurrent employment.
