^just email any of the admissions counselor. doesn’t really matter if they’re the rep for ur school or not…they all know the basics

thanks…and i hate the celtics too haha

i’m sure everyone on this thread does. unless they are a clippers fan. then they are a disgrace to the city of Los Angeles and to USC (dr. buss went to usc)

Being a Clippers fan is like attending the other Los Angeles school(fucla). It’s just not a good choice

I just contacted my admissions counselor, Matthew Heins, by phone. He was very helpful and cooperative.

@happydk that’s my admissions couneslor…he never responds back to my e-mails!

What did you discuss with him happy? Any good news in general about the process?

Well I medically withdrew from school last semester because I was on the verge of death. The way the school reports it on transcripts is “Withdrew MM-DD-YYYY.” It doesn’t specifically state “Medical.” I called him to ask his opinion. He advised me to submit the official documentation from the school … It can’t hurt only help. He was saying people blatantly lie on their applications … etc.

@rhandler33

He picked up after a couple of rings. I’ll call him tomorrow to make sure he received the documents I faxed.

another update-less day. why you gotta make me worry usc?

@AMorrison: Good to see someone from the same demographic as myself: I graduated high school in 2002, tried community college for less than a semester and decided that I needed to square things away before I could actually attend school with dedication – which didn’t happen until 2007.

As far as time management is concerned, you’re not alone. Ahh, how I love the endless nights of studying until 4 AM, only to be at work from 6 AM - 7 PM. Fun stuff and I can’t wait to do it all again. :)

@brianlee: Ditto. No updates for me, either.

ecs- I work at my mom’s law office(plan on going to law school), so I really don’t have time for any school ecs.

Do I have a shot? Money is not an issue, so hopefully this will help me.

major- political science

i just got the new status update, same as every1 else’s
hopefully every1 thats waiting gets theirs pretty soon

@Skyline- Your story sounds similar to mine. I graduated in '04 with a 2.25 high school GPA. I went to community college for half a semester and then dropped out to work. I just returned to college in fall of 2008. At times I am upset that all of my HS friends have graduated and I’m a sophomore–but honestly, in the big picture, it was definitely the best choice for me. If I would have completed college right after high school I would have had a barely passable GPA, and more importantly, earned a degree in a field where I didn’t really want to be.

For those of you who have status updates–did you complete the “Part I” application that was optional?

wghiller: I completed part I the day after it was available and my status has not changed since my app went complete.

I completed the Part I app but still have not received the update.

does anyone know if its too late to explain a leave of absence from school…i took all of last year off when i had my son, and i completely forgot to mention it…i dont want it to look like im just being inconsistent…

@Kula/Sky–Alright, just making sure. I completed the part I app as well and haven’t had an update.

@ gionrio

Call your admissions counselor and let him/her know what’s up. That person will most likely have you fax something over.

@wghiller I completed the Part I app and turned it in on the deadline and got a status change on April 1.
