USC 2010 Transfer Thread

i hope they send me a package before a status update =/

Follow-up for those who asked…Accepted daughter had mediocre SATs. 500’s English, 600’s Math, 600’s Writing. AP Calc was a 5. Took AP Physics but did not test because it seemed pointless; she would take engineering physics at college anyway. First semester at state college was 4.0, with Calc 2 and physics. As for extras- none in College. In high school- captain of basketball and tennis, NHS, 3.6 GPA. Hope that helps

@coastalmainer- Those are pretty solid stats overall. Congrats to your daughter on the acceptance.

we now know of at least 3 acceptances. fun. Everyone be sure to post any status updates/sgrs/whatever as we are ALL in this together.

so…i just received an email telling me to send in additional financial aid documents…is that a good sign or just regular process…

I’ve been browsing through this thread, and I was wondering what does SGR mean?

and 1 more question…is usc need blind or not?

@sadfish - Spring grade request aka your final semester grades.

@evangelionn01 - Yes they are.

@evangelionn01 The financial aid documents are part of the process. You probably did not turn in the forms that they required on time and they need them ASAP.

what is “-STUDENTS CORRESPONDENCE” under the Documents recieved list?

@SouthOCtrojan - student correspondence most likely refers to any correspondence from the student such as letters/memos/emails you’ve written.

@ SouthOCtrojan-- Have you contacted your admissions rep at all? That shows up under my documents as well, but I emailed my rep to update some information.

ew. its monday.

Has anyone who sent in quarter grades have those show up in their documents?

yup. it took about two to three weeks though.

@thegoldfinch- I have emailed 2 admin reps back in august/october. I have emailed them to let them know of an additional 3 unit class I had to take because the UC system asked me to take an additional .5 units. Someone also has recently written them a letter on my behalf, so not sure really of what exactly it could be.

@SouthOCtrojan - They save all emails/letters in your admissions file. So yeah you just described what it would be :)

ok. cool. thanks kulakai. I was just curious. My file is all complete and paid. so its all good.

anyone else COMPLETELY burned out from school and their CC? Im sooo done with mine. I cant stand it and this wait isnt making it any easier. lol, haha USC is like the freakin promised land now or something haha.

I wake up and get this email this morning; perhaps its a sign of good faith? Hopefully i’m not the only one receiving this:
