@ OOSstudent-- I live in Seattle and it takes about 3 business days to receive mail from the LA area. So you should probably get it tomorrow.

woah so many new people on this forum now! hahaha

How many Seattle people here applying?

I reside in Edmonds

I think I’m the only Seattle person applying. Edmonds =/= Seattle :p

oh if its 3 business days and saturday and sunday are not business days, that would mean tues/wednesday. ahaaha sighh… i cant wait

Saturday is a postal service business day. If your application was mailed from USC on Friday then it should get to your house on Monday. I mailed in my app to an LA area LAC on a Thursday and they got it on Saturday. I guess it depends though. Where in WA are you?

Ok get technical hater haha. That Skyline screen name must be from Issaquah

seattle!!!

@ mememeusc-- Hahah not a hater per say. Aside from the 6 months I lived in SoCal, I’ve lived in Seattle itself so I always find it funny when other people claim the city, especially when they lived in a 425 area.
How do you like living up there? It’s cute but there’s not much to do. I enjoyed going to their little tree lighting ceremony a few years ago.

@mememeusc- or he could go to Skyline college in california…

@OOSstudent-- Nice! What neighborhood? Or if you find that uncomfortable… North, South, CD, or downtown?

Representing downtown Seattle!..cc transfer!

Do you go to SCCC?

@ SouthOCtrojan

Yea, I don’t know, when I see that name I just associate it with that school.

@ TheGoldFinch

You have to be local to know what’s going on, but it’s much more slow paced laid back. When I use Seattle, I mean like the general vicinity. I kind of only consider “Seattle” to be over the bridge from UW until the the west seattle Bridge, do you consider Laurelhurst or Madison Park, Seattle?

@ mememeusc-- They are very much in Seattle. How would Madison Park or Laurelhurst ever possibly not be considered part of Seattle?

EDIT: http://www.realestategals.com/images/seattle_map.gif That’s the Seattle city limits.

TheGoldFinch
mememeusc

what departments are you guys applying to?

@ OOSstudent-- CLAS: Psychology/ Anthro. And you didn’t say, SCCC?

@TheGoldFinch

Haha Just asking dude, it’s a whole different Seattle on opposite sides of the bridge, I consider UW-side it’s own pseudo Seattle, even though it is still Seattle. Make sense

@OOSstudent
Annenberg

you guys?

why cant usc send out status updates on days other than thursday and friday. I have to wait another couple of days to see if this is gonna happen. blahhh its killing me.

@ mememeusc-- Well yeah, all neighborhoods are different. So naturally more affluent areas like Madison Park and Laurelhurst are different than say Rainier Beach or MLK, haha. Madison Park is lovely though. It’s about 10-15 away from Downtown which is why I didn’t see what you were getting at. If you’re ever down there, go have ice cream at Scoop Du Jour then go play at the park. They have the best playground ever, hahah.
