<p>@AMorrison @dbroncos23 Wow I hope they do give me a call! I just called my admission counselor but she didn’t pick up so I just left a message. I’m hoping she calls me soon so I can find out if I can just add a 2nd choice major. Jeeez, really nervous now! The reason why I didn’t apply for a 2nd major is because I’ve only prepared and done prereqs for my first choice major which is Communications. I hope adding a 2nd choice won/t be such a big deal. Anyway, thanks a lot for the link! </p>

<p>@ dbroncos23-- Oh great, now I’ll be checking USConnect constantly in hopes that it changes asap. If it doesn’t change within a week and a half I’ll be at stress level 83247, hahah. I’ve noticed that people are getting their “acted on” statuses on Fridays so hopefully 4/30 or 5/7 will be my day!</p>

<p>I believe there was a user last year or the year before who did not have a second choice major listed. Admissions was unable to offer him admission to the major that he applied to, but they called him and offered him another major because they felt he would be a excellent addition the the University. I forget who it was.</p>

<p>It’s just a theory, so I could be wrong. But I’m almost certain USC sends their mail out on Fridays. Nearly all the acceptance packages have been postmarked on a Friday.</p>

<p>“Good to hear from you as always. All students are considered for each major they select on their application. In addition, they are always considered for general admission to the University. Thus, if a student does not get his/her first or second choice, they can still be admitted to the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Upon entering, they can apply for the major of their choice.”</p>

<p>@jcarroll congrats that your app is being reviewed, there is no such thing as good or bad when you get that status, it’s good that they’re giving your app an early read but as far as the bad there isnt much of an explanation for that. In general, people who have their apps reviewed this early and are acted upon have been 99.99% accepted, so don’t fret.</p>

<p>No. This is just one of the many statues. It generally goes from “reviewing application” ----> “forwarded to committee review”-------> “the committee has acted upon”. You’re just in the first phase. USC counselors are most likely checking that you have everything in order, etc, etc, before they forward you to admissions.</p>
