I’m new to this and I just wanted to ask a simple question. Has anyone received an admissions decision yet?

Congrats!! You’re unique since you received a call and never got a status update. haha

@johnusc310: Several people have already been accepted, yes.

I faxed my tax return and w2 last week friday due to request and I emailed them if they received it but no reply yet. Does it takes 2 weeks to “receive” like everything else?

Are the applicants that have been admitted related in that they applied to a specific major or particular school, or are they just an assortment of various majors. I applied as a Creative Writing Major, 2nd as English and I was wondering if anyone that has been admitted applied to the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences.

ahh!! im so freaking excited for all the people who are getting these early status updates! especially those of you who post on here a lot so i feel like a connection to you. i feel like we are all siblings in this torturous USC waiting game hahaha.

any other freshman undecided’s in the house?
if so, what’s your status?
anyone get an SGR yet?

Congratulations Jocelyne! Out of curiosity, what’s with the phone call? Did USC call you?

I feel so out of the loop, just joining and all. What’s an SGR?

spring grade request

Everyone who has recently heard of their decision, please post your stats: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/904974-usc-transfer-decisions-2010-official-thread.html

@johnUSC - Yes, if you look at the last page you’ll see a whole breakdown of who has applied in what major/school and their current status (accepted or pending). Someone in CLAS has been accepted.

Does everyone get a SGR? My status has been like this for almost three weeks now: “We are reviewing your application. Sometimes we require additional information, so be sure to respond to any requests promptly. Transfer applicants are notified of their admission, or of a request for more information by June 1.”

What do you guys think this means?

@johnusc310: Look at post #4518 on page 302, it explains everything. I had that status since March, and it just changed for me today to “your application has been forwarded for committee review.”

Hey John - I’d highly suggest going back and reading this thread because there is a wealth of information there for you.

Not everyone gets an SGR - usually people who are applying with less than 30 units do. The status you have now is what a majority of people in this thread have (see page 302 for a complete list). Any time between now and June 1 we’ll start to get updates. As you can see, some people are getting them now.

Sophomore applicants mostly get SGR’s it seems.

That status just means that your application has not been forwarded to the committee for review. It’s pretty much neutral in its meaning.

@johnUSC i dont think that means anything (in regards to being a clue to whether your’e to be accepted or not). most of the people on this forum still have that status, and have had it for a while now. so far it looks like that status just means that the admissions office has recieved all your materials and are…well…reviewing your application :D

^ (darn my slow typing!) ^

Congrats Jocelyne!!! Wow and your a marshall applicant thats even more exciting!! What are your stats? And do you know why they called and not mail?? Thanks!

Think you might have misread there tbibbs :P.

It says “SPPD (my 2nd choice, 1st was accounting)” so she most likely got accepted for her second choice. But it seems as though she (?) may be the first one accepted out of that school. Odd how they called and told though. :o

Good to see that they thoroughly consider you for your second choice though.

status just changed today…
Your application has been forwarded for committee review.

CLAS: philosophy major
