USC 2010 Transfer Thread

@Marshalls, Check the schedule [BUAD | USC Schedule of Classes](302 Found)
Most classes are FULL…I don’t know whether there are much choices available for us

@ Hiuman

Im using a mac and firefox. Any assistant please?
Thx!

I don’t think that pertains to transfer students. The people who have been accepted into Marshall haven’t even attended Orientation or even picked their classes yet. They most likely reserve some room for transfer students, as it wouldn’t make much sense to accept Marshall transfer students and only then to tell them that the majority of the classes are filled to capacity.

@dbroncos23 - I’ve never heard of a school holding seats for transfers, only freshmen (for 1st year courses). Did you read somewhere that usc holds seats for transfers in classes?

@hopefultransfer- they could very well rescind if you haven’t reported all the schools/classes you have taken. You sign your app claimng the schools you’ve attended are the only schools you’ve attended. You better report them just in case.

@hopefultransfer - SouthOC is right, you don’t wanna mess around with that. You need to send in everything cause if they catch it later on you could get rescinded.

No I haven’t read that anywhere but it wouldn’t make sense for them to accept Marshall applicants and then have all the classes filled up. I just glanced over the courses and it seemed that the majority of the courses that were booked were intro courses. I’m guessing that since you guys are transfers most of you will have taken Accounting I or Micro/Macro which seems like the courses who are most filled.

Anyways, I think I was wrong with the whole reserving spots to classes for transfers. It would just suck if you got accepted into Marshall and then found out the classes you need or wanted to take were all filled up. It’s like what the hell do I do now, you know?

any news for the International Relations et IR/global biz transfers ?

@dbroncos23 I know it is pretty normal in UC’s that transfers can’t take those classes they wanted or even required for graduating cause they are all filled up. It’s not surprising in UC’s if transfers take 3,4 yrs to finish 60 credits.

do statuses update on sundays? or is it weekdays only? either way I’m checking every ten minutes loll

@uscdreamin - I doubt that they work Sundays so feel free to take a day off from refreshing every 10 minutes :)

@uscdreaming- as daisydaisy’s case proves, the status updates are not reliable.

You will recieve something in the mail within the next week. So there is no point obsessing over your status.

@mreddie- hey I noticed you only had english, micro/macro econ done for your marshall prereqs. did you take calculus this spring?

@Bcitan: Thurs of last week my app at USConnect went ‘forward to committee review’ this past Monday went to my app being acted upon, and in Tues I received my acceptance package for my second major.

Anyone know how early they let you know after you turn in your sgr grades?

Also, anyone know the chances for sgr acceptances?

Thanks

@uscdreamin hahah they can update anytime! I got my status update on Sunday at 5 in the morning lol

I had a horrible dream that the USC admission committee has decided to require all unprocessed applicant to turn in their SGR just in order to buy more time for them to review the pile of application…
They can’t finish all the reviewing on time…however…they must keep their promise that sending out the notification by June 1…
The only way…is sending out all SGR to you guys

“Grade Report” showed up under my admission documents. The Marshall grade card that I faxed in must have been added to my application.

so there’s a box for an enrollment commitment deposit form. is that the backdoor thing?!
