USC 2010 Transfer Thread

@ deerins-- That’s not the backdoor thing, that means you’ve been accepted. They only put those up for admitted students.

@thegoldfinch! ok i don’t want to misinterpret…but that means i’m in?

@deerins yes. congrats!!

Out of curiosity, has anyone been outright rejected yet? My app was reviewed in only 2 days so I’m thinking rejection.

aaah thanks! i can’t believe it! good luck to everyone else!

@skyline- So you went from forwarded to committee to acted upon in 2 days? I would think that’s a good thing, right? Mine went from forwarded to acted upon in 1 day, and now the backdoor works so I’m 99% I’m in.

It says on USC’s ticket website that the deadline to purchase season tickets is May 14th. I definitely want to go to the football games. Will transfers have a chance to buy tickets, seeing as how most of us aren’t notified of a decision until after May 14th?

IM GOING CRAZY

After confirming with USC last week that I’ve sent everything in…my document checklist is updated saying that I’m missing a transcript and several parts of my SCA application. WHAT IS GOING ON?!

woah that IS crazy… well first, take a deep breath. haha and second, mrpopular said that the school would be back on the web and phone lines on tuesday. take time that day to call and see whats up! you can also call main admissions to ask about the transcript part. let us know what happens!

wghiller, “They may also check the Web site above for information regarding the sale date. All returning students had until May 15, 2009 to sign up for a football season ticket. Incoming freshman, transfer and graduate students receive application information via email after they have registered and made a commitment payment. The deadline for incoming students to sign up for a football season ticket is August 14, 2009”. Now, that’s from last year but it shows that transfers will get a chance later.

@swatdojo

I had already confirmed that they had the transcript over two weeks ago and I just checked online today to see if it was still there :frowning: DIDN’T EXPECT TO SEE HALF MY SCA APPLICATION TO BE MISSING!!
How does that even happeN?? I sent the whole application in one envelope. How does one half of it stay and the other half poof away? STOP TORTURING ME USC!!!

hmmm… best i can think is that something happened in the move from one building to the other. or maybe its just an online glitch. is your status still the 'forwarded to committee" one?

@swatdojo
Yes my status has been like that for over a week…which adds to the torture. I’m hoping this misplacement of the documents can explain that stupid status staying for so long. Who knows…ARGHHARHGHAHT

thats definitely possible. make sure you call tomorrow to main campus and tuesday to SCA. see what you can find out! im sittin on a weeks wait at the ‘forwarded’ status too but its hard to gauge how anything is going because theyve spent the past few days moving buildings.

@Kiarash212- as long as you called to confirm everything is completed you don’t have to worry about the online document system

it used to state that i m missing something and I called them they said the online document system sometimes are not accurate

@swatdojo
Hold me :(

@Kiarash212: Don’t feel bad about it. I don’t think they had updated your documents. For an example, I had put that I was applying to SCA and I had no idea how or what to submit as a video so i email USC and told them that my second major is English. But in the documents library, it stills says the required documents for SCA.

I am agreeing with kielyy and swatdojo. They probably have it but they didn’t update the site.

haha dont forget to call. dont forget to breathe. do this and im sure youll be alright.

but the thing is…those missing documents were never there until today!

@Kiarash212 - An application is not allowed to be forwarded to committee by your regional admissions rep until the application is 100% complete. If committee received an incomplete app they would say “Hey, this app isn’t complete, why did we receive it?” and your regional rep would email your right away stating what docs are missing which they should have done before it was forwarded.

I bet their website just isn’t up to date for some reason and if you call in to clarify then everything will be in order.
