USC 2010 Transfer Thread

I can access usconnect, you are probably already doing this but
use internet explorer not firefox
make sure you are putting in the correct info

@kielyy did you check you status on friday? How does your status change on Sunday and on a holiday weekend?

@mrxl33- yea I checked on friday and saturday too :stuck_out_tongue: I got all of my status changes over weekend, probably because of the system lag, they probably mail it out on friday and the system didnt update my status til today morning

I posted before but noone replied. I applied to Thornton pop music but have been on we are reviewing your application the whole time. Is this a rejection?

@madeforusc I totally agree with you on that. I truly believe that if it wasn’t meant to be it wasn’t meant to be, for whatever reason you may not be able to see here and now, but in the future you will understand why you went down the path you did. However, nothing is for certain though, but keep your head held up high, I know that someone with a healthy ideological perspective as yourself will get far in life no matter what school you attend. I wish you all the best and good luck to the USC decision, not all hope is lost!

@losing You don’t have to check your status on USConnect, you can the on the website on which you applied, it’s the same exact thing. I never used USConenct as it was always really buggy on my mac so I used https://camel2.usc.edu/AdmOnlineApplication/</a> to check all of my status updates, don’t lose hope!

Hi,guys… My usconnect show the deposit form already, but I havent received my letter… Can I sign the form without the letter? My status changes to “acts on” on last Thr, and my address is in CA…

@unknownpleasures Yea your list is correct, however the only reason they changed it is for future Marshall applicants, not for us current transfers. Macro and Micro Econ are both still considered prerequisites that MUST be completed in order to be considered for admission prior to Summer/Fall 2010.

just going back what people have said

acted on (or upon whatever it is) means they have sent your decision in the mail.
You can get accepted for fall or spring OR rejected

oh and the whole “backdoor method” it isn’t really a backdoor method because the same day it works is the same day the enrollment link displays on your page.

and wghiller- go to the USC oasis site https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx</a>
it is under the course transfer and press the link “Transfer Credit Report”
then press “I just want to see my Transfer Credit Report” and that is exactly what they will mail you

@xdzzzrawr how do you log onto that site? Is it the same id and pass as usconnect because I can’t log in.

@ playthemdrums

no one knows, we can only guess. You’ll just have to wait a few days to find out.

@mrxl33 It should be the e-mail you applied with, do you remember the e-mail of which you submitted your application with? If so, that is your username and the password is whatever you inputted when you signed up to apply with.

@xdzzzrawr
Isn’t is the same with usconnect? I can log into usconnect but not that link…weird

@mrxl33 Your username is the e-mail address you used to apply for the application and the password is the password you used to apply with as well.

@xdzzzrawr

Awww thanks so much! I know I shouldn’t completely give up hope but it’s still disappointing because everyone around me told me I’d get in for sure that I started believing it myself.

We follow the British system so I went to a polytechnic and was awarded the most outstanding graduate out of almost 10,000 students, and received a great scholarship that covers tuition fees to any college in the world.

Plus I’ve been working at a production company since November and have been handling proposals, scriptwriting, filming, coordinating, and even occasionally the producer’s role when he’s unavailable. I even pitched a television series that was selected by a local channel, but USC doesn’t know this because by the time I emailed them with an update they said a decision had already been made.

I guess I just assumed I was on a roll and that my luck wouldn’t run out so soon. But if it did run out, I hope it goes to the rest of you who are still waiting! All the best! :D

@zdzzzrawr I tried using the email I applied with and have everything written down when I applied to USC, so the password can’t be wrong either…do I have to click the first time visit thing?

@mrxl33 hmmm I really don’t know then, if you do first time, I think it’ll create a new account for you with a blank application, you can try it. How did you submit your application for the February deadline if you did not use this website, did you use USConnect?

@madeforusc Yea everything is still up for grabs! Seems like you’re an outstanding student, your future can only be bright. I know of many people who have received acceptances last year after the June 1st deadline and as proven in these threads, people have had forwarded statuses for longer than 3 days and have also been accepted. Optimism leads to great things, while pessimism leads to listlessness and despair.

@mrxl33

Some have reported that if that doesn’t work, you can try logging in with you USCID and DOB.

@playdrums

I still have the “reviewing” status too. I’m just going to hold my breath till Tuesday and hopefully when I get home from my internship, I’ll have a package waiting.

@madeforusc I tried usc id and dob, doesn’t work
@xdzzzrawr I honestly forgot if I used that site or not lol guess that means I did use usconnect for my application? If it creates a new account for me, is that good thing bad thing or doesn’t matter?
