@socal4 - June 1st is just when they try to have everyone’s decisions to them in the mail but it isn’t a hard deadline and because of the holiday weekend you might not get it until Wednesday or slightly later.

to everyone who has been accepted on CC or anyone who wants to come to our meet and greet, join the Facebook group! Redirecting...; We are most likely be meeting on the July 9th orientation. We need to figure out the location/time, so everyone join so we know who’s coming and how to make the arrangements such as nametags of our CC names, time, and location etc. Also keep in mind during the July 9th orientation, we will be seeing each other all day and there is a formal 5:00 dinner at a pizza place all orientation students are required to go to, so we might have to arrange the meeting afterwords, but we can all be gathered together at the pizza place.

@Usctransfer I would 100% take gateway over annenberg house. If you can do a tour, do it. You will totally be sold on how awesome gateway is. There’s probably going to be a ton of people living there, not to mention it’s 500 times nicer than any dorm at USC. I told myself a long time ago when my brother moved into a dorm in his first year at ucla there was no way in hell I would ever live in one. Gateway is like a resort. Seriously.

@CrownOftheSea I sent my application in at 11pm on the last day, and I got accepted earlier this month!

@kielyy I dreamt that I got accepted the night before I got accepted. haha so hopefully you will too! :)

@usctransfer
I’m picking Gateway!

Btw, I still haven’t received my transfer credit report or my financial aid package yet, and it’s been a couple of weeks already :(

@ilovemtsac- hey so ur mom signed all the papers for gateway?? haha and i guess it’s official that you’re not gonna be a bruin right? :)

Just a quick question now that ilovemtsac mentioned it…do we have to wait for the transfer credit report until our spring grades are done and we’ve sent in the transcripts with those grades?

no she didn’t sign all the papers yet but she agreed to… and she still wants me to look more but i’m pretty set on gateway, and also I’m still going to SIR to UCLA i think…

@mrxl33- yea I got acted on but people said if you got forwarded too long before acted on it’s mean rejection
we’ll see tomorrow

@ilovemtsac- thanks and congrats!
I am kinda scared to go sleep right now cuz last night dreams were too crazy, haha

Also, they are required to MAIL OUT decision by june1st meaning there still can be acted on tomorrow/ decision sent out tomorrow that some may not receive it til later this week

@kielyy Really? I guess I have no way to tell if I am okay or not since I have been forwarded only since friday…I hope we all get in!! haha

are out of state people attending orientation? i’m kind of in a conflict. I’d like to attend orientation, but that’ll cost my mom’s plane ticket in august when I move to LA(!). So right now it looks like I’ll have to settle for USC to send a package in July :/

@fujiwarae86 yea it’s really up to you, many of us CCers will be there
so atleast you wont be alone if you do decide to go. But yea it really is a hassle to fly and do all that business for one day, but you do get registration priority/get to see the campus/meet new people, but other than that, there isn’t much you’re missing out.

@everyone - thanks for the detailed answers! :D

hey for those who received the spring grades request, when are we suppose to hear back after we submit our spring grades? July? August? …as if June wasn’t late enough… Thanks for the help!

So ridiculously nervous…talked to my friend who works in the admissions office–they’ve had panicked calls all last week about the deadline, etc. but this is the exciting part i guess.

Acted on as of friday, so im assuming ill be getting the letter soon enough (either way)

carrying a 3.2 in a top 40 school nationally/tier 1, so im just praying that the competitiveness of our university and similarity to SC’s curriculum standards for my major play big on the decision.

any good news yet from this past saturday yet?

anybody know what time on june 1st (today) the results will be posted and how we check them (link please)

thanks

question…i dont understand how i was admitted as a sophomore level transfer when i have 72 units already done. is it possible they made some kind of a mistake?

still "Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
Your application has been forwarded for committee review. "

haha well I’m glad I have everything setup for going to a UC already :)

@ccforum the decision will be mailed to you, there’s no decision that’s posted online unless you use the backdoor method.

@hellostranger
a lot of people are in your situation. I think they just put everyone as a sophomore first until they evaluate your transfer credit report. You can get this changed later!

D-Day, Ladies and Gents. Best of luck to all of us!
