USC 2010 Transfer Thread

Hey I guess you guys missed my question so here it is again - Do we have to wait for our spring grades(and also sending those grades along with an official transcript) to come out to receive our transfer credit report?

mstransfer, your transfer credit report will only include items for which USC has received an official transcript.

Some of you thinking you should be entering with Junior status but who are currently showing sophomore status may have the same issue - the transfer credit report you are seeing now will only include classes for which you submitted an official transcript - which at this point for many of you does not include Spring 2010 classes. Submitting a report card or grade report is fine for an SGR but will not take the place of an official transcript for your transfer credit report.

Good luck to everyone today!

guys i got commitment enrollment deposit - does that really mean i m accepted - i want to make sure

Just thought I’d let everyone know that I was rejected. I managed to keep a 3.8 gpa and obtained 42 credits this year towards my degree. But I guess it just wasn’t enough to overshadow my bad performance the previous year when my family had an extremely tough time getting by due to some bad circumstances.

Good luck to everyone else! I really hope that I’m the only one on this board who gets rejected.

Turk12- yes congraulation!!! When was your acted on ?

Corvin- I’m sorry to hear that… but thanks for still coming up and let us know, I’m not sure when I receive my rejection later on today do I still have the courage to come up and tell… Good luck on the college that you are going anyways!

@Kielyy thanks a lot !
Im not sure but it was few days ago I guess
seeu all in USC!

Ok this is probably a stupid question, but when is orientation?

[Welcome to the USC Orientation Programs Website](http://sait.usc.edu/orientation/sessions/transfer.shtml)
Transfer orientation schedule

corvin, screenwriting looks ridiculously hard to get into so there’s no shame there.

@Corvin- Tough luck, man. That screenwriting program seems next to impossible to transfer into.

I called the orientation department and told them I won’t be able to make it. The guy said I won’t be able to register until August 16th. What a joke, that is absolutely ridiculous. It’s stressful enough to come up with tuition while also finding housing and a job. Now I won’t know my hours until a week before class. I’m pretty upset about this.

wghiller,

Yes, It’s a joke - completely unfair.
Yes, it’s ridiculous.
Yes, you won’t know your schedule until a week before class.
Yes, you are upset.

But…

You are an upset TROJAN!

so it’s not *all *bad…

Too nervous to check the mail.

For those of you submitting an official transcript, how are you going about it?

I know that electronic or fax is an option, but I thought that when you open an official one, its no longer considered “official”.

My college puts a seal/tape on it that says “unofficial is seal is broken” or something like that.

Good luck to everyone today! Please post your stats here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/904974-usc-transfer-decisions-2010-official-thread-6.html

@dunkers - I emailed my unofficial transcript to my regional rep right away so they could still do a final review of my app while I had an official transcript mailed in.

Anyone know how many applicants are accepted to Spring semester instead of Fall?

@Kulakai - have u received a decision yet from your SGR???

Has anyone else that submitted a SGR been accepted yet?

just gave my mail-woman the biggest hug

@fivefootfree CONGRATS!

tbibbs-I received an SGR (submitted my spring transcripts around the 25th) and just received my acceptance package today for CLAS! :smiley:

Finally the wait is over (wheww)
