USC 2010 Transfer Thread

@Kielyy

I’m about to get my rejection letter any minute now and my back up is UC Irvine as well haha

@Kiarash212- I was so upset when I saw the mailman have that slim little letter…I just hope I can do it next year…

@Kielyy

If I really do go along with doing UC Irvine, maybe we can do it together ;)

Accepted. For International Relations. I’m stunned…seriously stunned. Now I can join the Facebook group as I was superstitiously avoiding it

If I get rejected I am going to UC irvine too LOL…which will most likely happen…sigh still on forwarded…wth

was anyone here accepted for spring?

Is it a bad sign if your status is still at “Your application has been forwarded for committee review?”

EDIT: I got this status update on Friday (5/28).

Finally.

My status JUST changed to
“Your application has been forwarded for committee review.”

It’s like they forgot about me?

@frantastic! Some here I got forwarded on Friday but still no update and no mail today…maybe tomorrow?

Anyone know anything about transferring from a UC to USC?
If I have that many units now I probably shouldn’t take much classes before I apply for transfer again? I am thinking to take 2 quarters in UCI

@kielyy don’t you need to take a certain amount of units to get some financial aid?

I heard 64 units was max for usc transfer, so I took this semester off, I have 63 units…I am not sure, I am planning on going to uci as well if I get rejected and try again…

@mrxl33- on my rejection letter(**** it lol) , it states that “USC requires transfer students to complete at least 64 semester units”

Hmm I m not sure about the financial aid, I didnt apply any and that proves USC is really need-blind since I wasn’t planning to apply FA in USC also LOLLLL just a info for some saying you can get into USC if you are rich, since this statement is pretty disrespectful to people who work hard and get into USC

@Ashton- I was waiting to be accepted before joining the group too, haha.

@Everyone- You guys should all fill out the CC Facebook group roommate questionaire. Especially if you’re staying at Gateway, haha. I’m transferring from across the country and I’d like to find a good roomie, especially since we’ll be sharing a room at Gateway. Someone who loves sports, wants to go to USC games, and likes movies, too.

My status is we are still reviewing. Spoke to admisions today ad was told that they have no decision for me yet. Maybe it’s because I’m a international and this is my second bachelors? I was told to ring my counselor if I don’t hear in a week.

For some reason, I saw this coming. Absolutely nothing from USC in the mailbox today. It’s rather pathetic that they give applicants a specific date and don’t deliver. Tell us it’s a window of time so we don’t get so damn anxious.

@KHPAtel

USC states they will send a decision by June 1. It doesn’t mean you’ll receive your decision by June 1. With the holiday, I’m sure the whole mail process got screwed up.

Rejected…

@ kielyy google UCI USC ARTICULATION agreement. You can find classes that will transfer and whatnot.

@KHPAtel they said they will send out everything by june 1. Depending on where you are located determines the amount of time it will take to get there. Cant knock them for not getting anything to you on time. Theres a grip of applicants haha

just called USC admission, they said I don’t want to have more then 64 semester units before applying for transfer again.

So what do others who got reject and reapply do? I believed most people who went to a community college already had certain amount of credit?

@dbroncos23
That I can understand, but the other side of my brain doesn’t. I managed to check the mail roughly 4 times today even when I knew it’d come in a precise time frame.
