USC 2010 Transfer Thread

@Serapher

Nope it says: TOTAL NUMBER OF UNITS ACCEPTED IN TRANSFER: 41.00 UNITS

But then under it another portion says 28 units under UNITS EARNED TOWARD THE COLLEGE BASIC REQUIREMENT.

I think I know what’s going on…
[College Major Requirements > USC College of Letters, Arts, & Sciences](http://college.usc.edu/major-requirements/)
So, you got 41 units total but only 28 go toward the requirement that says you have to earn a minimum of 104 credits under CLAS. This is separate from the overall degree credit number. You could get 104 from CLAS and then do cross study under another one of USC’s departments. Basically, you’ll need something like (128-41) for your Bachelor’s and (104-28) under CLAS.

ah that’s probably it. Sounds much better too. Thanks.

I have no status as well.
I turned in my grades on the 22. I called yesterday to have them update my usconnect and the person on the phone said the committee had to update my status because it is “being reviewed”.

She said I should expect the “decision” status. God knows when I’ll get my status back.
This is soo frustrating!

BTW. What do you guys see when you log onto oasis?

They haven’t received Cal Grant info yet… so it should be coming soon , early/mid july i believe…

status is back up…probably within the last hour…my new status is forwarded to committee for review…

Mine isn’t. So that proves it is an individual server by server issue or they are simply fixing it each time they get to an sgr and switch their status to forwarded.

My status is back up, however, i have no status change. Still says “it will be forwarded to review soon.”

i feel like I’ve heard that forever now. =/

I applied B.A. in Human Performance, i mean, i just may be the only applicant to apply!lol…so i dont understand why it’s taking so long.

@Beauselisker1990 - It has been over 5 weeks now for me since they got my transcript. I’m expecting a rejection for them taking this long but I’m still anxious to get a decision :)

I got my acceptance package TODAY! YESSSS! Finally after all of this waiting! Stay strong.

WHEN DOES FINANCIAL AID COME THROUGH?

@johnusc310 Congrats! I’m waiting for my decision, were you acted on 6/24? I was acted on yesterday and I hope its either going to come today or tomorrow! How long did it take for yours to come in the mail?

I submitted my grades on the 21. I faxed them over at 10AM. Received confirmation at 11AM. I never got to see when my application was acted on because i was one of the many whose status became blank. But it took three days! Have you tried the backdoor method…seems to be working.

“We are unable to process…” status back up for me.

my current status: “we have received the spring grades requested by the committee. Blah blah blah. Your file will be forwarded very soon. Blah blah blah.”

Hey everyone,

For those ppl who received an SGR and got admitted to the school, can you please post up your GPA’s for your spring semester to help others who are waiting on thiier decision so that they can get an idea of the GPA they should have. Also, if you can post your majors it would help tremendously.

Thanks

I got admitted. I had a 4.0 GPA for all semesters in college and I was in an honors program.

does anyone now how much time does it take for the status to change after sending transcripts?
I sent my transcripts and i still have “We are unable to process the status of your application at this time.”
are there any trends?

budlightyear: i have the same darn status too. man when are they going to change this??

Yeah, I wonder if every SGR recipient get that status before being forwarded to committee. I’ve noticed that some SGR’s went straight to the forwarded status without getting the “we have received” status.

This was my status for a while now: “We are unable to process the status of your application at this time. Please try again later, or Contact Us with any questions or concerns you might have.”
