johnUSC310, took two weeks for me. Could take less time for SGR admits since the financial aid office is probably dealing with less students now.

Is the financial aid office open on Saturday? If so what hours?

The site says no

so on average, how long does it take for them to go FROM “we will be forwarding your grades to the committee…” TO “we have acted upon…” ?

thank you!

I applied to marshall and econ as my second choice and I got a SGR. My status is currently at “your file has been sent to committee for review.” It took about a week for it to change from “your application will be forwarded to committee for review very soon.”

@rbkhoops21 it took me 1 day to get from your application has been forwarded… to acted on. but it seems it either was really fast for some people and really slow for others. i think it just depends =/

can anyone send me the link for the admitted students thread?

hey everyone! just got my admission packet in the mail today!! for everyone who the backdoor method didn’t work, have faith!! it didnt work for me and I still got in!

thanks KHPAtel!

Does anyone know how to pay for the deposit? Everytime I type usc.edu/deposit it takes me to usconnect.edu

Wait for it to show up on USConnect, which is probably the safest way, or https://camel2.usc.edu/AdmCertification/Commit.aspx.

Hey guys,

so i tried logging in the back way and it wont let me log in and my friend that did get in the school the system also doesn’t let him log in. Is it working for anyone

Thanks

my status changed today to “committee has acted upon”…however, the backdoor method is not working…i guess ill have to keep my fingers crossed when i see my mailman tomorrow…

So I was wondering with all this controversy with the USC sports teams, especially football (which I don’t even follow or know much about), how do you think this may affect the transfer process for 2011 transfers? Do you feel it will be easier or harder?

gionrio: how long has it been since you had the “will be forwarding your grades to committee” TO “committee has acted upon” ??

thanks!

@rbk…i never had the “we have received your spring grades” status…my status was one of those that disappeared for several days and when it reappeared it was already at “forwarded to the committee”…i faxed in my grades on 6/21…on 6/25 was forwarded to the committee and today was acted on…

Now that I’ve been admitted does anyone know the policy for applying courses to two majors. Does the university or its individual departments allow this? I’m trying to do an English degree with a double major in Narrative studies (i wand to be a writer) and both of these majors requirements are made up of many of the same courses. I could do one program and get the other degree too (that is if you can apply courses to two majors/degrees) I don’t even know where to go on the USC website to get this question answered. I’m just trying to minimize the length of time it takes me to get my master’s and hopefully my Ph.D in english literature/creative writing.

congrats everyone who just got their packages in the mail.
are u guys going to attend the July 16th orientation session?

Do you think people who have not been admitted yet are rejected, and they are simply going to mass reject everyone who has not been forwarded to commitee?

I feel like they are just not getting around to mine. =/
