I used to have problems with logging into oasis too, so don’t worry. I believe that for your first time logging in, you use your USC ID # (it can be found on your application and in usc connect) for your login id and then use your birthdate as your password (6 digits, ie 10/22/88 without the dashes)

If I remember correctly, you can make a new password after logging in successfully. Let me know if it works…

@BCitan - It’ll be 6 weeks of waiting for me as of tomorrow! I’m ready to move already to the other school I had to deposit and register at already but USC is holding me up. I still have that slim bit of hope they might admit me for some reason but yeah…

@ kittycats: when you go in to make a reservation for orientation you will be asked a sequence of questions that ensure that you have done several things before even making the reservation. Without responding yes (a check mark) to all of these questions you will not be able to go on to the next step, which is the reservation program.

One of the questions is if you’ve vommitted to the school (deposit)…then it askes if you’ve waited at least seven days since your submission of the deposit as to allow for processing…then if you’ve setup your USC email…then if you’ve received an email (in your USC email inbox) saying to make a reservation for orientation…
there are three more but i forget what they are…but you can see them if you attempt to make a reservation.

I did not put a second choice major down as my primary academic interest is in studying business & finance. Though I enjoy reading about and debating economic issues, I have no interest in pursuing it at an academic major level.

If I didn’t have a very specific career goal in mind that works with my past banking & info tech professional experience, I’d probably have opted for econ as a second choice :)

oh nice so you’re only waiting for marshall…we’re pretty much in the same boat. when did u turn in your spring grades and whats your status now?

I sent my unofficial in on May 20th, status changed to “we have received spring grades”, they received my official transcript on June 1st and it has at this point still not been forwarded per admissions(phone) on Monday.

FORWARDED TO THE COMMITTEE FOR REVIEW! omg so nervous please please please I’m praying for good news. Overnight mailed my official transcript last night.

@rbkhoops21 - I know you’ve asked something like that a few times now but honestly there is no way to know until those of us who have been waiting a month or more actually receive the decision.

I don’t know if I should commit to USC. I was admitted as a sophomore but I should have been a junior already! I called this morning and the lady said that I need to turn in my official transcripts yet before they evaluate me. I already have 74 units done. Is it safe to withdraw my SIR to UCSD and cancel my housing deposit over there and just commit to USC?

As of right now, I’m leaning towards USC more. I also asked the lady if there was a certain deadline for me to commit since I got my admission packet during the last week of May. She said there wasn’t a specific date for a deadline, but it would be so much better commit ASAP.

SO my question is. Is it safe to assume that after they evaluate my official transcript, they are going to put me as a junior level student or are they still going to put me as a sophomore as they have stated on my admission letter?

PLEASE HELP I’m trying to make a FINAL decision by today. USC or UCSD :(

@hellostranger57 - I think I replied to you on the facebook group also, in regards to which communications program is better? USC is hands down. Even if you lose your deposit at UCSD by withdrawing, I would still suggest going to USC since their communication program is ranked within or close to the top 10. Your internship/job prospects would be better coming out of USC.

You will almost definitely be bumped up to a Junior. I too was accepted as a sophomore. They just had to re-evaluate after Spring semester. Just wait to decline your SIR. You took all this time already, might as well wait a couple more days.

my status just changed to “we have received your spring grades”
I actually called and ask them if they had received my spring grades, and minutes later they updated my status.
so for those who are still stuck in " we are unable to process…" status and havent called…you guys should really consider calling.
