USC 2010 Transfer Thread

“We are pleased that you’ll be joining us. Welcome to the Trojan Family!”

It’s official. Just committed to USC. Will withdraw my SIR to UCSD tomorrow. See you guys this fall! :)

Welcome to Troy ;).

out of pure laziness (and the stress of my summer classes) can someone give me the address that I would turn in official transcripts to. Thanks!

“You must also request that a final official transcript be sent from your school directly to USC upon graduation or completion of the current semester.
Have all transcripts sent to:
University of Southern California
Office of Admission
UNDERGRADUATE
Los Angeles, CA 90089-0911”

Have they sent rejection letters to any SGR recipients yet?

@kaymac - I know of at least one but I think there have been a few.

This really sucks!!

@Bud - did you have a backup plan if you didn’t get into USC? I’ve pretty much set my move date to August 1st so if USC doesn’t let me know at least a week before then, I’ll be forced to withdraw :/

edit
Sweet baby jesus! The backdoor method just worked for me! "Enrollment Commitment
Deposit Form " with all your info filled in right?

@kulakai

Omg congrats!! Had you tried earlier today? Well as others have said no one here deserved it more than you. Your status still hasn’t even been forwarded yet either? Hope for everyone here who had lost hope!

@kulakai woot congrats congrats! now we can officially manage the 16th meet ups!

Kulakai!!! Yeeeeahh man!!! I’m really happy for you dude!!! I had the biggest smile when I saw your post. Hahaha. Congratulations!!!

Unfortunately, I do not have a back up plan. I’ve only been in college for 3 traditional semesters and there are a few pre-requisits that I have yet to complete in applying to UC campuses. It was USC or bust for me. A rejection letter from USC will be a huge upset as I’ve punished myself for well over a year, straight; First semester: 14 units; Summer: 10 units; Second semester: 22 units (two campuses); Winter: 4 units; Third semester: 27 units (two campuses), with an overall GPA of 3.94 and 66 USC transferrable units.

USC was my goal since day one. Anyhow, I’m extremely excited for you!!!

congrats kulakai!

wow USC updates their database this late? thats pretty cool i guess!

Congrats Kulukai!

What’s your current app status?

oh and @kulakai: it took you over a month until you got accepted right???

It took them 6 weeks! My current app status is blank and an admissions rep told me on Monday it still hadn’t been forwarded so that means it must have been forwarded and decided on in the last 48 hours?

wow 6 weeks! that is intense…i would’ve died waiting for that long. well congrats again!

i hope i can get mine but i guess i shouldn’t fret waiting for a few more weeks… :0

It’s been 5 weeks for me. =/

have you heard??

@Kulakai

About time!! FFS, took them long enough. Congratulations!

You into the 16th Orientation or what?

@KHPAtel - Well, the funny thing is I’m supposed to be in DC for a business related conference on the morning of the 16th and my hotel/airfare is booked already.

I’m gonna call tomorrow and try to figure out just how disadvantaged I’d be if I have to go to the one on the 23rd instead :confused: If it sounds like I’ll be screwed on classes if I go to the one on the 23rd, I’ll figure out a way to make it to the one on the 16th.
