@Serapher That’s awesome! About how long will it take them to email me back so I could get my USC email and sign up for orientation? I’m sooooo stoked! :D

It took me two days but it can technically take up to 7 business days, according to USC. I think some of the people on the thread had to wait that long.

I don’t get it…which one of these is the backdoor method?

https://camel2.usc.edu/AdmCertification/Default.aspx

https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx

OASIS isn’t associated with the backdoor method. It’s pretty much for admitted students to look at their GPA, transferred credits, financial aid, etc.

How do we log on oasis anyway? I’ve tried my USC ID number and my birthday as a password and it still won’t let me in :(

Birthday as mmddyy? Besides that, I don’t know.

It says you login with your usc username and password. I think this refers to your usc email address username you’ll setup once you receive the email instructing you to do so?

I’m 99% sure that the OASIS account is separate from the USC general account. I could be remembering wrong, though, since it’s been a while since my first login.

EDIT: As can example of the accounts seeming to be separate, “If you wish to access Web Registration or OASIS and do not know your password, you may access the applications through MyUSC portal.”.

I don’t know why I forgot about that route. hellostranger57, if you have your USC computer account, you can access it through MyUSC, like the quote says. Student resources -> OASIS

The very first time you log into
https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx
you use your USC ID and your birth date MMDDYY. It then prompts you to create a password if I am remembering it correctly.

I’ve set up my USC email without receiving any additional emails from USC advising me to do so (By logging into oasis). Also, after 5 days, I cannot access the orientation system.

Edit: scratch that… just checked all the boxes without completing them all, put in my information, and got in. I have NOT received any emails informing me of my access to the orientation system.

You don’t HAVE to wait, necessarily. They set all their time lines to be extremely safe and allow information propagation. They seem to be too long. I didn’t follow all of their guidelines, either.

I was just able to setup my email too. Pretty sure it is now official, I’m gonna be a Trojan :)

Damn… orientation is expensive. 130 bucks!

@Serapher well I still don’t have a USC account since I just paid the deposit yesterday. I just want to get in OASIS just so I can see everything there. I also still don’t have my email.

How did you guys set up your email without USC emailing you about it yet? Help!

ACCEPTED TO MARSHALL!!! BACKDOOR WORKS!! Congratulations to those also in and to those still waiting, have faith. FIGHT ON!

Congrats jmoney1014! These acceptances should definitely give some hope to those waiting.

hellostranger57, https://secweb.usc.edu/cgi-local/firstlogin/showform?form=activate. Technically you aren’t supposed to, but I guess that there’s not much that can go wrong.

@Hellostranger

Once you gain access to Oasis, it will take you to a screen that says
“To access the Universitys e-mail system click here.
(The system allows students to forward e-mail messages delivered to the USC account to external e-mail accounts, such as aol and msn.)”

Clicking the link will then take you to this link…
https://secweb.usc.edu/cgi-local/firstlogin/showform?form=activate

Putting in your information will then fetch your email address and such.

Try putting in your information and getting your email with the second link!

@brianlee and serapher
Awesome! Thanks guys! I was able to set up my email but I still have to wait an hour for it to be activated. I wonder if that’s the same username and pw to be used for Oasis? I still have not been able to access Oasis.

Thank you so much for your help you guys!

Btw, what are your housing arrangement plans? I’m going to University Gateway tomorrow to check it out!

so for the backdoor method…
if your birthday is January 9, 1991. you would put the password as 010991 ?

is that right?

hellostranger57, that username and password works for OASIS if you log in through myUSC. Otherwise, I’m pretty sure that it isn’t.
I hopped on the Gateway train.

rbkhoops21, yes.
