USC 2010 Transfer Thread

I’m going to sound stupid, so please bare with me. How do I know what classes to register for?

jeffrey7guo, we had acceptances as recently as last week.

Nothingelse, most majors have a sample 4 year schedule on their website. You can use that to get an idea. An advisor will talk to you about it in orientation, too.

I took a look at class schedules, and most SPPD classes have not been filled up yet, so I think I’ll be okay if I register soon. Most business classes seem to be filled already though, so I don’t know how they’ll accommodate the rest of Marshall students.

@hello I’m undeclared, but I’m going to apply for COMM at orientation. What’s yours?

^^ Communications :slight_smile: I haven’t seen a lot of Comm majors here in CC yet so I hope to see you there!

Likewise! =)

Please be aware that I was a SGR and just this evening received my admission packet. There’s still hope, people! It was dated Friday, July 16, and got it today.

hey guys, I just got in today through appeals! Anyone need a roommate? Know a good affordable place?

Male, 20, live in LA but don’t want to commute.

PM me!

did anyone get a call from the NTSAF other than johnUSC310? :)

@itsyouitsme
I received an email in regards to an interview instead of receiving a phone call because for some odd reason they weren’t able to get in contact with me over the phone.

Did you receive a phone call?

I got into Marshall last week for spring 2011 admission woo

Congrats, Chelsead19! I received a spring admit to Marshall as well. What are you going to do for the next few months?

@ itsyouitsme: I got into contact with Christina, the director of NTSAF, and scheduled an interview for this saturday. Did you ever hear from them. I’m also waiting for notification from the Mexican American Alumni Association Scholarship committee. Did you apply to any others?

I got admitted last week for Spring 2011 Marshall as well, but my status still hasn’t changed from “We are unable to process the status of your application at this time. Please try again later, or Contact Us with any questions or concerns you might have.”

I think at this point and late in the game, they hardly even update the statuses anymore because they’re just trying to get everything done.

Same here, but mine says "Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2010)
Your application has been forwarded for committee review. "

ALSO, my letter says I will be a sophomore, (thought would be a junior)
How do I check which classes are being transferred?
Thanks

hey i called the admissions and the guy told me he would ‘put some code into the system’ and i will be able to do the 300 deposit in 24 hrs
and i asked him about transferable credits and he said i should receive another mail form usc that has the classes that are going to transfer, etc on it.

but i cant really wait since i have other school deadlines so i think ill try to figure it out myself. Does anyone have the link to the transfer agreement page where they list a lot of schools and have all the classes that transferred before?

@detail Error;

thanks krysty

I have 116 quarter units that are transferable, and I have completed category I, II, III, V, writing req and diversity. How come I am still a sophomore?
Also, does anyone know how many units I need to become a junior?
Thanks

congrats to all who just got in last week! I am a SGR too, and my status has not changed since i sent my spring grades, it stays the same like over a month already, and up to now, nothing came and changed. I still wait on my admission package. WOW, tooooo long, and called in today, my advisor said the marshall school has my application but not acted on decision yet. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON? COULD I STILL BE ENROLLED ?
