Well, it doesn’t look like there’s any room for Marshall in the Fall anymore. They’re probably waiting on more spots to open up for next Spring (figuring out if there’s any chance that anymore Marshall undergrads will graduate by then) for the rest of the SGR’s.

I’d say there might still be hope until the end of the month, even though it will start to get slim after this week.

just be told over the phone, that , i am accepted for spring semester 2011, and just wanna get an idea from people who are enrolled for spring, what should we do for this fall, and is there any possible that we could be enrolled for fall again?

@detailmore they wont evaluate your credentials until you send your official transcripts. I was bumped up to a Junior a couple of weeks after i sent in my transcript. It would be best if you just go over the transfer agreement yourself just to make sure you’re entering as a Junior.

Anyway.

Do you guys know where it would be better to work? Off or on campus? which one has more benefits/advantages? I’m having 2nd thoughts about working on campus because most, if not all, only pay minimum wage I also don’t want to go far from campus because i wont be taking my car during the first semester. I’m planning on just taking
advantage of the campus cruiser service. Lol :)

hellostranger57 - I would say work on campus because even though it pays damn near minimum wage, you get all the perks that comes with knowing people in certain places (i.e. getting paper work expedited for you etc…) I worked at Watson Hall during our OCC days and I’ve never had to wait for anything, nor had any trouble getting things processed for me, especially financial aid. Heck, you might even get staff parking. ha. There will be people that can make special phone calls or arrangements for you on your behalf. This is especially beneficial for you since you won’t have your car with you this semester.

Thanks Bud! i’ll definitely think about working on campus. I know there’s a campus job fair coming up about a week before school starts. I wonder how many copies of my resume should i bring. Any thoughts?

Or you can apply at the CVS that’s coming to gateway. haha. you’ll be the go to person for booze.

As far as bringing X amount of resumes to the job fair, I’d say about 6-8. You should also put your resume on a flash drive and bring it with you just in case you need more; you can use the computing center at SC to print.

USC sent me an email about the job fair and said
“How do I increase my chances of being hired?
We encourage you to register for interviews with at least 15 departments – more if possible to help increase your chance of receiving a job offer.”
I’m not sure if that’s overkill or not.

Also, I have to admit that, sometimes, when I read hellostranger’s name I think of Supertramp’s “Goodbye Stranger”. There’s no real reason for it beyond the name similarity.

im confused if you are able to login to oasis does this mean you are technically in? I see the main menu but there is no payment as of yet… on bottom shows record doesnt exit

@Bud Where exactly is CVS going to be placed on Gateway?? For some reason, I just cant imagine! Lol! Alright, I’ll probably bring about 7 resumes with me and a soft copy as well.

@Serapher Haha! I honestly just couldn’t think of any names anymore when i signed up for CC

When “Goodbye Stranger” starts playing in my head on CC, I change it to hello stranger, of course.

Guys! I’m not crazy! During orientation, I could have sworn that the Trojan marching band played “Heartbreaker” sandwiched between some classic Trojan stuff. There’s some Youtube videos of them doing that so I was probably right.
+1 Trojans

Hey Serapher, by any chance would you know if the Welcome Week is only for incoming freshmen? Or for transfer students as well? I just saw their online brochure and it looks really exciting!

@krysty - I am going tomorrow as well as a bunch of other people! Join the facebook group [College Confidential USC Transfers 2010 | Facebook](<a href=“Facebook Public Group | Facebook”>Facebook Public Group | Facebook) and add me or reply to the wall post I just made about 23rd orientation.

@itsyouitsme - we should start a uscard background editing business!

@hellostranger57 - The retail spaces on the ground floor are huge so a cvs will fit in there easily.
