JULY 23RD ORIENTATION!

Anyone who is attending orientation tomorrow and who wants to meet up, send me a private message on here or on facebook!

What time is everyone arriving @ the orientation. I’m not quite sure if I have to be there @ 7 or 8AM

I plan to get there around 7:30 AM.

I plan to get there a few minutes before 8. I’m dreading the traffic!!!

I’ll wander over from the Radisson around 7:30 I think.

Wait, where is the registration area anyway?

@hellostranger57 - You should have gotten an email with the info regarding where to go (I can forward it to you, /msg me), but for everyone else who needs to know as well:

“Program Check-In will begin at 7 a.m. on July 23, 2010 at the New Residential College (NEW). Please enter the campus from Figueroa Street and McCarthy Way at Gate 3. Inform the parking attendant that you are an Orientation participant. You will receive a parking pass that will be valid for the duration of the program. It is advisable to arrive early. Check-in closes at 8:15 a.m. sharp in order for the program to begin at 8:30 a.m.”

@hellostranger57 after you get into Gate 3 and park in the parking structure, as soon as you step out of the structure you will see hordes of people lining up in the area immediately outside the structure, it’ll be easy to spot.

QUESTION: i am admitted for spring 2011 , then what should i do for this fall 2010, do i have to take classes… thanks for the answers !! thanks guys

@jeffrey7guo - You can call admissions and ask what their recommendations are. You could take any additional courses you might need for GE categories at your current school, do a study abroad semester, work an internship or normal job, travel? Just make sure you don’t sit around on your butt doing nothing :)

heyy USC reversed my decision last week and I still cant pay my 300 deposit! Anyone have the same problem? I’ve been calling every day but cant get through to them!! Also, who has done the fee waiver? I dont know how or waht they need because it still says im not authorized -_- orientation is tomorrow =(

I just remembered a registration tip but it probably won’t help anyone at this point. You can go ahead and find a reasonable schedule, reserve all the classes, then keep optimizing. Just register all the classes you want then unschedule ones you’re thinking of changing. This way you can add potential classes, schedule them to see how they fit in and then make changes all at once if you want to swap. You don’t have to unregister and risk losing anything until you want to make the switch.

Oh shoot, I just checked registration online. 2 out of the 4 classes I had planned out are already full
One of them is for my major. Any chances spaces will open up tomorrow? =/ uh oh, im nervous!

Maybe they’ll add extra spaces for the orientation just before registration?

I hope they do because all my class options are extremely limited at this point.

thanks for reply, and i might do a intership or travel during this fall. thanks

Having registered to get a material packet in the mail today, when can I begin registering for classes? Do I have to wait for the packet until I can register or can I start tomorrow, the 24th?

Thank you!

@archieg - Call your academic advising dept for your major to find out. I imagine once the other orientations are over, you should be able to.

On that note, orientation went great today and I got into all of the classes I needed to get into :)

It looks like if you don’t attend orientation, you can’t register until August 16th.
