I had something very similar happen to me, but my sixth sense caught it ahead of time. I kept calling. It took them a couple of weeks, but they eventually worked it out and ensured me I would not be penalized in any way because of their error.

Be persistent and don’t get discouraged. Everything will work out.

great answers everyone to why you wanna go to USC and what you’ll do when you’ve find you’ve gotten in.

I have a question about the documents I’ve submitted, similar to those who’ve posted earlier. On my Oasis, where it says My Admission’s Checklist, although it says I have no required documents that I still need to turn in, I’m a bit uneasy that they may not have my Letters of Recommendation sorted out.

I went to USC and personally turned in my documents including college/h.s transcripts, and letters of rec in and received a receipt for it that I still have, but is there anyway that I can know that they still have my letter of recs organized in my file? I know this is a bit of paranoia, but these letters are real important to me, since my 2 English professors wrote very highly of me, and I’d hate for them to somehow get lost. Does anyone have any advice? Should I just simply let it go, or call USC like a paranoid freak and ask them if my letter of recs are in my file, along with my other documents?

@BigJohn1 Although a phone call would get you a quicker response, I suggest the communication method via USConnect (email) as it provides you with proof of notification. If you end up going to USC and they see a transcript different from what you said you were going to take, and no record on their end of notification by you, you could be dismissed; the USConnect method would ensure that you have a written record as well as a case number to reference if that ever, however unlikely, happens. To be safe, a couple of days after getting a confirmation email from USC acknowledging their receipt of the change, I’d think you should call just to make sure they have it in their system.

does anyone know once were admitted what GPA do we have to maintain? i know there is not an exact GPA because each student differs, but what is the average GPA?

@socal4 it all depends really, if you get an SGR you may not know until July, but the earliest people to receive their letters should be scheduled around early May, and the letters just keep pouring in until July.

Wait, if we change out courses in progress from what we put on our application we have to notify them??? I think I’m going to drop one of the classes I’m taking, although it doesn’t start until March 22nd… Wow I didn’t know that good thing I read this… but can someone confirm anyway??

thanks! i’m taking economics and business in addition to the classes i put as planned for the spring semester on my application,so i just wanted to let them know.

@dreamingUSC Every acceptance to every university is actually a conditional acceptance, they let you know what grades you must have earned for any terms for which they don’t yet know your grades. If you got below that, they can withdraw the offer of admission.

@daisydaisy YES! If you tell them you were going to do something, you better do it or tell them you’re not going to.

@foodmunkee, does it say they received/reviewed your CSS Profile/FAFSA and 2009 Parent Tax Returns, cuz I turned everything in on Feb 8 and I have confirmation that both my FAFSA and CSS Profile were sent on Feb 8, but it still hasn’t showed up on my OASIS. It says it has received my 2009 Parent Tax Returns, but that they haven’t reviewed it yet. Can anyone tell me that if on OASIS it will tell you whether or not they have received your FAFSA and CSS Profile? Thanks in advance!
