Im new on this site and was wondering if anyone could help me out…This is my dilemma: Last quarter, I got a 3.8 (One W) 16 units

This quarter, I got a NC, 2 A’s, and 1 F - The W (from Fall quarter) and the F that I got this quarter (are from the same class). The NC was for a stupid GE I had to take.

So, I talked to my counselor, and he said I’d have to take the Calculus class again if I want the F replaced with an A or B. So I’m getting a tutor next quarter. I understand that USC takes the F and whatever grade I get next quarter, and balance it out. So Far, I have taken one English course, and I got a A+. I want to apply for CLAS, English.

The NC doesn’t factor into my GPA at UCSC by the way. And I will address my issue in my application.

So with my current situation, can anyone please give me their honest opinion about transferring to usc? thanks so much

Not only am I stressing about this, but I’m also stressing about 3 other transfer apps which I haven’t even submitted and then I’m stressing out about a bunch stupid summer research things. And then I still have classes! Woo!

Thanks for sharing the information!!! I called in today too… I was gonna post but I was out the whole day… just got home. I’m taking microecon next quarter… is it hard?!? I’ve never taken Econ before because I skipped senior year of high school… I graduated high school in my junior year and went to community college straight after… ermmm…

It sucks we are the last ones to find out!!! I really hope both of us will get in :)

micro is hard until you get the hang of it, but once you understand it it’s kind of fun! It’s kind of like math in that way. I had it at 8am and I think that’s why I didn’t do too well in it (I got a B) but I seriously worked sooo hard in that class. For the final I studied for 2 weeks straight it was seriously really hard. As long as you pay attention in class and do the readings and ask questions if you dont understand something, you should be fine :)

Micro was the first class I ever took in college. It was pretty easy.

…I have a question for everyone/anyone that feels like answering it:

Looking at last year’s “official decisions” thread the admissions posts began sometime in the 2nd week of April. Does this mean that more or less most of us will get an admission decision in the beginning of April?

Im very anxious, because of the documents (transcripts) im supposed to send in to USC. I am a junior transfer applicant for fall 2011 by the way. About 95% of the classes I took during CC were at Los Angeles Pierce College. And USC asked me for transcripts a while back. Im just wondering, how long does it take for them to receive and process the transcripts! i check status of documents on the USC admissions site, and it still says they havent received my pierce college transcript yet! I checked with Pierce and they said it was processed and mailed back on February 25th! Also around a week after i sent in a transcript from another college i attended RUSH DELIVERY (so they mailed it the next day), and the site also says they have not received it. Is the document site not updating? Or does it really take that long for USC to receive and process all transcripts and documents we send them?

Don’t worry, they probably got it already. This happened with me also. It had been about 3 weeks since I sent them my hs transcript, and the status still read that documents were missing. So I called the office of admissions and they told me that it had been received but the system hadn’t been updated yet. I would say give them a call and check, just in case.

Not sure of the average prices, but one of my friends lives off campus near frat row (was about a 5-8 minute skateboard ride to the campus) in an average sized, nice/clean 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in a gated complex and he was paying 600 I believe? His roommate was paying about 800-1000 because his room had a private bathroom.
