For where transfer guy??? That’s still pretty cool at least!

Will save a lot of money to not get the meal plan and to live off-campus! :)

@JDSFTW i got in to pepperdine and miami, now its just SC

@snizzle: Yeah, and I enjoy cooking too. You can make GOOD food if you know how to buy the ingredients.

@transferguy

Congratulations! Even though they are not your first choice schools, it must be nice to know that you have something to fall back on. I’m still waiting on my UCs results and everyday feels so much longer than 24 hours…

By the way, my USC status still says “We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time.” I don’t think anything will happen this month…

Mine’s the same whisper. If they don’t look at the apps for a really long time, then there isn’t really a point to having them be due at the beginning of February. I feel like I could’ve done the app for today and it would’ve been looked at the same amount.

I agree coolio. In an earlier post, somebody mentioned that the admission confirmed that transfer applications hadn’t even been touched at all… I’m sure they set the deadline early to give themselves time for collecting missing documents and etc, but it for sure feels long…

According to the last year’s transfer thread, earliest notifications arrived to some people in early April (around 4/7~4/10 if I remember it correctly), so I’m guessing maybe some lucky folks might be seeing a change at the end of March or beginning of April.

@deltron … Gateway is so sick! It’d be my first choice if I decided to live on/by campus. Great choice.

@whisper11 … by notifications arriving in early April, do you mean status changes? or actual admission decisions arriving by mail?

finally got an application update! feeling a little relieved. but like a few other people on here, its the message that refers to freshman applicants instead of transfer applicants.
-_-

“Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2011)
We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. You may submit them at USConnect by clicking “mid-year grade reports”, or by visiting www.usc.edu/midyeargrades. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.”

edit

i forgot to mention, before this i had the “we are missing information” status but everything was submitted. i decided to give them a call and found out i had entered my credit card info wrong (1 number was off) and so they couldn’t process my application fee -__- . The counselor said it happens all the time and its not a big deal, so she sent me a credit card authorization form and i filled it out and sent it right away. They charged it the next day and i got a status update immediately. for anyone that still has the “we are missing information” status and everything is turned in, give them a call just in case. i wish i had called earlier :(

The earliest acceptance letter came by mail on April 10th last year.
In a later post, he declared his major as electrical engineering and stated transfers didn’t have to pay $300 deposit fee until June 1st or 2 weeks after they received acceptance letters.

And here is another person that got a letter on April 10th as well.

Wow Gateway is sweet.

For those who are unaware:

[University Gateway Provides Off Campus Apartments For Students Of The University Of Southern California In Los Angeles, California](<a href=“Campus Apartments, LLC.”>Campus Apartments, LLC.)

What’s the pricing though?? Doesn’t look like it says…

my status still says:

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2011)
We have received your application, and it appears we need more information. Please ensure you have submitted all required items. Due to the high volume of application documents we receive, allow sufficient processing time.

i submitted all the stuff months ago, is that ok?

nacliamsi, I would call just in case, really. There may be a small glitch (like the one-number-off credit card entry in an earlier post), so you’ll want to make sure that’s taken care of. Even if there isn’t a glitch, it appears that if you call they’ll actually look through your info personally and push the documents through, giving you the “we have everything” status (which, for me at least, was a huge weight lifted!).

Gateway looks awesome! I’d totally live there and am also curious as to pricing…

@nacliamsi: Yes, that is normal :)

@whisper … thanks for pulling the posts! Doesn’t look like CLAS sent out anything that early though :/

and for everyone asking, i believe gateway starts at $950 a month.

@transfer guy, I got into Pepperdine aswell. I’m hopping for USC Marshall though.

Does any one know what the prices would be to get “The Californian” special at Gateway.

Oh man, I want to got to USC so badly.

what if our status is they are reviewing our app? when can we expect to knw a decision? if i get in to SC ima gnna be living “young, and wild, and freee”

do you guys know if they ALWAYS ask for an SGR if your writ130 req isn’t finished yet? I have it in progress and from what i saw on the older threads, it looked like only people that had it completed received acceptances right away. However I didn’t really look through the entire thread.

really want an acceptance without an SGR :(

(17 units completed, 4.0 GPA, 15 in progress)

(apparently i dont know how to quote, and appreciate if you guys can tell me how)

Hi, I heard that my friends got transfer decisions from UCSD, and was just looking through some threads and saw this one.

You have plenty of time to make that payment, and I believe you can make that deposit really late if you are desperately waiting for other school’s decision. I ended up paying that 300 dollars (apparently it seems like I make it sometime around June, but just make sure you call and tell them your situation) because I thought I would have pretty low GPA for that semester and get revoked admission from other schools. So I think I paid that deposit pretty late … not sure

Anyways that turned out to be unnecessary as I did well in my last semester…

I believe I was the first batch to have decision released, and pretty much last year engineers got the admissions released the first

Good luck guys and EE!

What’s SGR? And writ130…sorry guys, I feel like an idiot, lol.

Also, has anyone found out if that “we don’t need anything else but we keep referring to you as a freshman applicant and we need your grades” status means anything for us transfers? Are we supposed to send in midterm reports based on this, or do anything else?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks everyone, and good luck to us all!
