<p>@hyethga4lyfe I’m applying to NYU, Polytech of NYU and Fordham (Fordham and Polytech are kind of my “safes”, just so I am pretty much guaranteed a spot, even though it isn’t technically guaranteed) through the CommonApp. Looks like I’m going to either NYC (which is A LOT closer to home) or LA next year.</p>

<p>hi! I’m pretty sure usc really doesn’t like w’s especially in classes that would count towards credit but ive heard of kids getting in with 1</p>

<p>I feel you, mine is the same too. I was looking at the last year’s thread, and most CLAS applicants started to have their statuses changed in April. I believe the earliest acceptance mail came to a sociology major on 4/25, and more letters came by 5/5 or so.</p>
<p>That practically tells me I don’t need to keep checking on my status every single day this month, but it’s the very first thing I do when I wake up in the morning anyway. I guess it’s the boring phase that we’re in right now… can’t wait for some excitement! :)</p>
<p>I applied as a freshman before Dec 1st and then the USC Admissions Office decides I’m a transfer student instead because of my international academic history, even though I’m not even on a degree yet 
Other universities are considering me as a freshmen which means I have to get back to them by May 1st…I really hope USC gives me their decision before then. USC was my first choice. I can’t believe I might not be able to go because of a technicality. Anyone else in the same boat?</p>
<p>@SS02Trojan … like bangkok said, its usually one max … when i went to the transfer session the admission counselor stressed how you should try to keep W’s off your record and said one may be acceptable.</p>

<p>Nah, I’m applying to CLAS for Physics…is it a good thing that I’m like the only one here applying to physics, kind of like showing there isn’t much competition? haha</p>
