<p>Last year the people that got the status “your application has been forwarded to the committee” first generally got in.</p>

<p>What’s the deal with the statuses again? Do you look at the time that it is in committee or the total time that they review it? I thought if it was a low turnaround time in committee then you are likely to get in, I don’t know though. My application has been on "We are reviewing your application… " since Feb. 20th, so about a month now and still hasn’t gone to committee. I’m applying as a transfer and I turned in my materials on Feb. 1 so I was surprised my status changed to “We are reviewing…” so quickly.</p>
<p>But is that bad? Is the trend a quick turnaround from “we are reviewing”?</p>

<p>“We are reviewing…”
“The committee is reviewing…”
“The committee has acted on your application…”
“Decision has been mailed to you…”</p>
<p>I think if the turnaround is quick in committee then your chances are good, can anyone confirm this for me?</p>

No. That was just an example so people could follow the format. I didn’t even apply this year. Will be applying next year.</p>
<p>And as far as the statuses I would not rely on them. As sydneyral said, he was accepted and the status is still reviewing. Don’t place your fate on them, and do not look too much into them. Doing so is not reliable. </p>
<p>If you’re interested on how the progression goes, look back 20 pages or so. I posted how they went.</p>
<p>@snizzle: I got a nice, large white envelope in the mail. It has a beautiful red folder in it with the acceptance letter and some brochures. </p>
