<p>@WunNyne I just commented ^above about the situation. I applied to annenberg and my status was changed last Saturday. I’m so nervous, I hope to hear back from them soon. My suggestion, call them and ask them about your status. I was reading around here and many said that after they had called, the admission people changed it. They said it’s really irrelevant to the actual STATUS of your application, but… im not sure.</p>
<p>Surprisingly enough, my GPA is a mere 3.5 (3.47)… Good luck to you! I was surprised I even got into Pepperdine with this GPA tbh, but my extra curriculars are outstanding to be frank.</p>
<p>OH… and I had a UW my 2nd semester freshman year, because my stupid academic adviser did not tell me how to properly drop a class.</p>
<p>@cartoonboy, i currently go to pepperdine, and am trying desperately to transfer out. they got me with the substantial financial aid package as well, but this school is just not for me. first i recommend that you speak with both admission offices to see if 1. usc will give you your decision early, 2. pepperdine will extend its offer (they’re typically very flexible) OR 3. commit to pepp. and if you do get into usc, change (although you would probably lose your deposit)</p>
<p>@ AF : thank you…i’m desperate LOL, my cumulative GPA is 3.2 but i do well on my econ classes.I just ordered my transcript and i’ll send it to USC tomorrow, hopefully i’ll get a SGR this June…</p>
<p>last year some people called and told them they had to let another school now by x date and usc told them the decision over the phone. so just call and tell them your situation. they’re usually pretty understanding.</p>
<p>@bangkok I just called and the woman just lied to me. Talk about ethics, my god. The woman said that I should know by June 1st, and then I explained to her my situation and she said that they start letting people know soon, but she ‘knows for a fact’ that they haven’t started making ANY decisions yet for transfer applicants. I asked if by April 30th or so, if I still had not received a letter and had called them, would they tell me my application status? And the lady said ‘Yes, but you can call at anytime and we can tell you’… and then I asked her could I check mine now? And she’s like… I already said, ‘No decisions have been made yet for transfer students.’ Correct me if I’m wrong… haven’t two people on here already gotten accepted as transfer applicants? Ridiculous.</p>
<p>@atlbornuscbound What was your major? I’m majoring in Public Relations, I hear that they their program is one of the best on the west coast. Note: WEST COAST… First off there aren’t many schools in California that offer Public Relations. I know it’s not the BEST, but it’s a lot better than many in comparison and the school im currently at. I’m in Long Island, NY atm at a lousy school, and am in desperate need to go back home to SoCal. Love NYC, hate long island.</p>

<p>Plus the “lady” could just be a secretary telling applicants what she has been ordered to say. I don’t necessarily see that as an ethical dilemma.</p>
<p>Try calling and talking to someone higher up on the ladder. Plus, you’ll most likely have to wait. It is not as if by you telling them your situation USC will place your application in front of everyone’s else. Try to see if Pepperdine can extend the deadline, and if not call USC back in 1-2 weeks and let them know of your situation again.</p>

<p>i’m with Mitch on this one. she could’ve just been a secretary. i’m sure they’re all told to just repeat the same thing anyway, “you will receive a decision by June 1.” Imagine if CC didn’t exist and you called and they told you they mailed out a “few” decisions. You would probably go insane wondering why you didn’t get one yet and when yours will be on the way. Its much easier for them to just tell you to be patient. Honestly, they don’t have to tell you if any decisions were sent out yet or not. That information has nothing to do with you or your application file. She told you what she is supposed to tell you.</p>
<p>I’d have to agree with mitch and hyethga. Don’t take it too seriously lol. Just call in a couple of weeks and ask to speak to someone higher up ;)</p>
<p>My advice,
Give Pepperdine your intent to enroll the day before the deadline to increase your chances of hearing from usc by then and secure a spot there if you do not get in USC. </p>
<p>CSLUB has a deadline to but there’s is June 1. Nevertheless, I will accept them and pay thier deposit in case usc asks for spring grades and something goes really bad that i can not get in anymore.</p>
<p>It is better to be safe…All you would have to do is tell pepperdine you changed your mind later.</p>
