<p>Hey, do you remember when you turned in your application and submitted your application? I have heard of people in less competitive majors getting acceptance letters from USC Early April but I think Engineering is pretty Competitive. I am guessing that they review applications as they are submitted, meaning the earlier one submits it the earlier the hear back. It is either that or you had a very appealing application…high g.p.a, good essays…etc.</p>
<p>@cartoonboy im a com. major, and i heard that they have a really good pr division, but i dont know if it’s worth it. Its a pretty big christian school too which kind of trumps everything, so keep that in mind</p>

I submitted like 2 days before the deadline… and I never heard that people who apply to less competitive majors getting acceptances first than others… but I know my boyfriend got into USC’s viterbi as chem engineering pretty early…like way before UC decisions came out(hes a freshman)</p>
<p>I’m happy I finally got a status change. Im applying to SPPD, which not a lot of people apply to, plus they changed their curriculum this year… so I hope I get in !</p>

<p>@smc1234 i turned in my application on like the 30th of Jan. i dont think people who applied to less competitive majors get decisions first, but i do think if you had a dec. 1 deadline you will, b/c i think those schools reviews those apps earlier (hence the early deadline), but thats just my opinion. </p>
<p>i am undecided and i do have a high gpa (4.0) and a good essasy, i dont think i’ll be getting a decision too much before June 1.</p>

<p>I’m in the same boat Laxlove. It almost makes me laugh to see my same old status these days… I said it before too but I’m starting to think that maybe they’re going by alphabetically after they receive applications in each department. My last name starts with an S so it’s almost toward the end. Optimistic! lol</p>
<p>wow can i say that I HATE SMC and they’re crazy if they think I just have $1000 laying around to give them for classes I DROPPED and NEVER attended. This sucks every time my application gets close to being complete something crazy happens.</p>

<p>Also agree with @wolfparty. If that were the case, then USC would be rolling admissions. I’m sure they have their methods. Does us no good speculating on which method they end up choosing.</p>

<p>Haha I’m one of those people that doesn’t really care about location. My parents are both from NYC, so everyone in my family but me are Yankees/Rangers/Knicks/Jets fans. </p>
<p>Haha so holkey I know what it’s like liking a team that everyone you know hates (I’m a Red Sox fan, so I’ve heard nothing but jeers from the Yankees fans my whole life).</p>
