You can appeal, won’t affect TTP. I would think a TTP would appeal actually.
For the last 20 years there were less than 10 - 20 overturned of the 1000-1100 submitted. Last year was odd cause of scandal, they had space so more were overturned. Who knows what this year holds?
They admitted 2,000 more than usual so that may fill spaces. I am sure they are doing their best to minimize number of overturns to be back to usual, but this year is hard for anyone to forcast.
I am appealing as well! Could anyone give advice as to what to include in the letter? USC is my dream school and I need to make this perfect! Any piece of advice would be helpful.
I simply talked about why they should admit me. Is there anything in specific I should mention?
To appeal do you need to have something to complain about? ie. you think the admissions centre did something wrong while reviewing your application? or can you appeal because you want another chance and want them to go over your application again?
@Hopeful2024er I’m not sure about the word limit, but I read that its better to be direct, so I would say about a page or a page and a half. For the deadline, it is 10 business days after you received your letter (march 26).
I am looking to appeal as well but what kind of information are you guys including? I have some updates to include but I feel like it might be inadequate to the amount they have receieved in the past since the school year was cut off so abruptly…
When I tried to submit my appeal letter in the portal, it said “access denied”. I checked the FAQ section under my decision letter, it stated that “To appeal the decision you must submit the items via the USC applicant portal no later than Friday, April 10, 2020.” Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks!
@havardlover99 Do you know what we can do at this point? I think we should still be able to submit a letter since they clearly said that the deadline is April 10.
