I wanted to switch from my major to Business at first, but not anymore because I think Econ/math interests me more and I might need to study a semester longer if i transfer to business.

But will see~ not sure yet :P

wow!
GLAD to see USC is so popular, hehe

oh yea~ hopefully, I will be able to attend the International Orientation on the 18th and 19th~
anyone else coming alone?

WOT - Oh my, thanks for that chart! Hopefully I can still change lenders…I’ll try calling tomorrow since I didn’t send in the MPN yet.

I liked the campus. I personally asked financial aid about the deal with the loans deadline and stuff, the guy said that they just want it ASAP and no real deadline, except you’d have to do it within the semester/year of study.

I’m kinda disappointed that the housing I got is too far… kinda wondering if I should just get into a closer one. Does anyone know if they accept requests to move into another building?

1lazysoul --got my financial aid package and visited the campus the other day too. went to the housing office but they told me there definitely are no spaces left and that i should look for an apartment. i can move in with my sis but nothing’s final yet. i kinda want to live with other USC students instead of commuting, y’know? anyways, the housing office told me that after students move in for the school year, you can do room changes and stuff like that and some spaces even become available, so if you want to live closer, you might have a shot.

What is everyone thinking about the new student activities…they are mostly for freshmen…

iamtheeggman- Maybe so but I figure that most of the residential community at school regardless of class standing will be at some of these events anyway. I mean what else is there to do for that week from Move-In Day until the Monday that classes start?

If you’re not moving in to university owned housing or the area surrounding USC then maybe you’ll have to weigh if it’s worth the effort to commute for these things. Anyway, I’ll probably stop by because I’m curious. The transfers I’ve been speaking to are also dropping by, at least for the “Getting To Know Your Academic Communities” events which will happen Friday, August 22nd.

Business Majors:

Do we have to take the math placement test?
Or can we just go straight to the required math class like Math 218?

For those of you moving in soon and curious about the activities during Welcome Week…
https://sait.usc.edu/orientation/welcome_week/index.asp

i just did my welcome week schedule and even though there are some freshman stuff on there, there are still activities that everyone can go do, so i’m excited.

1lazysoul: I talked to the advisor (I had finished Calculus I) and he said I do NOT need to take the math placement test. I think it all depends on how much math you have taken. So i think if you finish calc you can go ahead and do math 218 which is statistics i think. Don’t quote me on that though, I’d call an advisor asap.

SittingMoose: Thank you for the info. I have also finished my Calc classes so I think I’d be fine. I’m going to see a counselor next week. So how does your Fall schedule look like? If you don’t mind me asking…

1lazysoul, where can i find a counselor or an advisor? I want to ask them more about the economics program and what the job outlook is like.

I’m a business major trying to get into Leventhal.
They told me that my counselor/advisor would be from Marshall.
So I found mine over at Bridge Hall 104.
I had to schedule an appt though, and the earliest that they could give me was Monday

sorry to go off topic
im trying to transfer next year into marshall and I got a B for Economics 101 :@
if i retake it and get an A will it replace my other grade?

JUST CAME IN TODAY!
I GOT IN!

I got accepted for spring 2009 in the Marshall School of Business
My major is Business Administration

Man, I’m pumped!

Drekwins: CONGRATULATIONS! See you in Spring  Fight On!

HEKTOR007: I don’t think they’d let you retake a “B”, I actually have 2 Bs for my pre-reqs and I still got in…
