*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@KELLYYYY I will! (: Fight On!

hey guys i know its late but i was wondering if you could chance me

i have a 3.82 UW gpa b/c i messed up my freshman year (upward trend)
34 ACT
a lot of ec and awards (i even got one from the california legislature)
cabinet in an athletic club
vp of a volunteering club
leader in my mayor’s city council campaign

I got waitlisted at UCLA so im kinda freaking out over here

@calisunset21 That’s how I was too, Last year when I applied I was very involved in a charity organization (i even held a few leadership positions) and I worked about 15 hours a week at my job. But I guess that wasn’t as good as other people that applied. you just never know

@fryderman yeah wth. We aren’t even that far. It shoot come tomorrow!!!

Meanwhile can we all laugh about how USC got whooped in the NCAA tournament xDDDDDD

USC already sent out their decisions so they can’t rescind my decision for roasting their basketball team hehehehehehehehehe

Ok, if I have any credibility remaining  On the first day (tomorrow/Thursday) Socal gets inundated with acceptances, even if they didn’t get to post office till late tonight, they will be out for delivery tomorrow to most people in Socal (the post office never sleeps). Of course there will be some that won’t get it till the second day in Socal and seeing everyone else post will be very stressful, hang in there.

Also the first day (tomorrow/Thursday) Norcal may get some (it is only a one hour flight to Norcal, mail gets up there quickly) but it is very patchy, causing everyone in Norcal to lose their mind. The second day, Norcal is pretty much completed and the midwest and major metro areas (Chicago, NYC, Atlanta, Dallas - big cities around the country starting getting major hits). Somehow I remember larger central & southern Florida locations getting it before other areas much closer, go figure… By the third day, people are insane if they haven’t got anything but thankfully, the portal is updated.

In the past (which may not be reliable, I have learned my lesson) the rejections were mailed at the same time but just arrive a day later cause they are sent a lower priority of mail service.

Either way, finding out sooner than later is key, and while I get the ol’ school approach to this, the stress and agony can be exciting yet horribly cruel on students. To fill a class of 2800, you could be one of the almost 9,000 or so to get the yellow packet in the mail - it is wonderful and congratulations! But more than 45,000 students will not receive the yellow packet this week. Yes, that’s 45,000 rejections. :frowning: So if you don’t, you are not alone - and there is another plan in place for you (and your friends on cc will be here for you I bet)!

@CADREAMIN Just to be sure, there are actually 9,000 acceptances being sent out, right? (according to a poster before)

thank you @CADREAMIN and good luck to you and everyone out there!

^^^your numbers are off! you’re not taking into account the yield %. much more than only 2800 are accepted

ya, I caught that as soon as I hit post and went and adjusted! I need to learn to use preview but I always impulsively post. Thanks!

According to the USC Marshall Undergraduate Admissions Facebook post, 54,100 applied and 8,900 were accepted making the admission rate 16.5%.
Good luck to all!

What is sleep at this point…I’m not sure what to do guys. I have a softball game tomorrow so I won’t be home until probably like 6:00, but my mail comes at around 10:00am…My parents will be home. Do I ask them to tell me what showed up or no?

@ManhattanSubway Ask them to not say anything but hand it to you

It is late here, but I wanted to wish all of you the best of luck tomorrow and Friday. Dreams can come true!

Keep up with your assignments and tests. Students have had their acceptances rescinded. It would take a major collapse, but do not put yourself in that position.

Alumni clubs across the country are preparing parties/receptions for SC newly admitted students. Our Atlanta club will host a party in April and then will hold another big SCendoff party for new freshmen before they head off to Los Angeles in August. The Trojan family is not a myth.

…hoping for the best of news in the next two days.

Aw best of luck to everybody! I hope all of us find out soon!

Congrats to those who get in. You deserve it. Cherish your acceptance! To those who don’t, you have plenty of other options. But if USC is your dream, you’ll find a way to get there. Maybe not this year, maybe not during undergrad at all- but one day.

GOOD LUCK "SC"QUAD I BELIEVE IN Y’ALL

Tomorrow’s going to be a very eventful day. I can’t wait to hear all the good news from you guys.
GOOD LUCK, SUPER CALM EMERGENCY READY USC THREAD IS HERE FOR YOU!

Try to get some sleep, Best Thread Ever. See y’all on the other side. :x

my stomach is already in knots… i want this SO bad.
