Maybe there are very few spring admits and they weren’t in the pictures…
I would assume that the acceptance folders on the INSIDE of the boxes are what’s different colors
@choirsandstages ya u could be right there are like less than 300 spring admits maybe even fewer than that however gets one first please let us know
Same thing happened to my daughter. Our college advisor told us that schools are getting very protective of their yield – i.e. the percent of accepted students who choose to attend. So they defer or reject students that they feel are overqualified and therefore likely to go elsewhere. Makes sense. I know Tulane has done the same thing (and they absolutey had to, since their application is free so they get a ton of kids just throwing it in the mix, without being serious about it.
@xxhoopsluverxx IT IS COMPLETELY RANDOM!!! I’ve been rejected/waitlisted at all my match schools. I’ve been hearing the same from my friends- people not getting into schools like Davis but then getting into top-10s or Ivies. It’s just the nature of the process and its especially bad this year because of how many students applied.
my school advisor said the same thing the overqualified students are iffy if they can do better elsewhere
That’s why u gotta push harder to convince the school you really want to go to that you’ll commit if accepted
My state school, UNH, which completely sucks, has a MAJOR case of Tufts Syndrome lol they didn’t accept my best friend who had a 35 ACT and a 4.0 UW. She is a perfect person, and they straight up rejected her but accepted people with scores much lower than 25 ACt… I didn’t even apply because I know how horrible I would feel if that school rejected me! Seriously no one go to UNH haha… it’s SO expensive for in-state students and the education is awful just saying…
@SC5ive I agree that it’s important to show your interest for the school since all they are really concerned about yield. It seems like this is a trend that we’re all beginning to realize, so it would be helpful for future applicants if we tell them to show their interest for the school that they are applying to. It’s really upsetting that overqualified students are being turned away because of “yield.”
Just checked myUSPS. Got nothing coming my way?
I thought we established that these packages can’t be tracked because the scholarship applicants earlier this year could not track them either
Has anyone received anything yet? People who have gotten their mail?
Haven’t gotten my mail yet but I will post as soon as it comes. Located about an hour and 15 minutes south of USC
Haha. USC’s got the case of Tufts Syndrome
If you get something in the mail say where you’re from!
I just found out yesterday that USC doesn’t do a wait list, that’s so strange
I live an hour and a half east from USC, but my mail doesn’t come until like four):
@djkap11 ya guess they get better results from doing spring admit than a wait list doesn’t Berkeley do the same?
LA we need some news asap pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I really do hope USC has Tufts syndrome
That gives me more hope
