@DaPueo No, it doesn’t mean anything. I get a black background when I use Chrome, but I get a picture background when I use Safari, so it might just be your browser.

Did anyone with a black background in the YouSC portal get accepted as a fall admit?
@mayamcg @chucknblair I think I didn’t explain it properly haha! I have my scholarship rejection under “messages history” and nothing under “current message”. However, the “current messages” title appeared today and wasn’t there before.

I applied to BA theatre and I haven’t heard of anyone hearing from SDA yet
@chukrook I would not draw that conclusion at all. In fact, UCLA says they narrow their applicant pool down to 30 for TFT and then interview those candidates. Early on in that thread people were posting they were interviewed, and if people weren’t, they were probably rejected. When decisions came out, there were several who posted they got in and were never interviewed. Keep positive!

You likely are @RyanMNLA Given the volume of applicants they receive, I highly doubt they Skype/call all applicants. Not to say that means you’re out of luck if you haven’t been called. I’m just reporting what my interviewer said: He may take a more open-disclosure approach than some of his colleagues. Hope we’re classmates next year 
@momteach thanks so much for the kind words!! I really hope that applies to USC’s film! I applied to screenwriting rather than film and tv, which is where the difference may lie as well. Decision weeks are so difficult; everyone on CC feeds off of each other’s anxiety.

@dannysunz just make sure the name is his on your cousin’s packet…you know how the mail is. Good luck and who knows with the USPO. ps I think almost everyone in So Cal LA area has a neighbor not too far who applied–whether they know it or not:)

This broke my heart to read. You clearly have so much passion and compassion for the world and people around you. We need more people like you in the universe. I have tons of respect for you and your hard work, and I don’t even know you!
I hope reading this just reassures you that you clearly are a beautiful human being; I can tell that just from a few sentences on a website, and I sincerely hope USC and all of your other schools see, appreciate, and acknowledge this same lovely person.
^^^yes people!! You are all talented and passionate. Adcoms can only infer so much; they don’t really KNOW you. Whatever happens, just know that no one will ever be able to take away your intellect or your spirit. They are intrinsic and will carry you so so so far in life, whether you go to your dream school or the community college down the street.
If I signed up for usps delivery to house and it says no deliveries, think that means no way?! Anybody else see a delivery coming???
