@chrisanna no it’s not trackable…they cheaped out on us.
don’t worry!
All SCA admission decisions have been posted.
@Aaronlahood posted on the portal? you sure? i remember hearing decisions arent posted until saturday
Anyone in here an International Baccalaureate candidate? Would be great to know if anyone in the program was accepted.
for all SCA applicants, was there a separate scholarship for SCA specifically that might have been the reason why some kids got interviewed? or am i wrong?
*nevermind i read some of the old posts in this thread about SCA interviews
I am positive. My friend was accepted into Film Production. The acceptance rate specifically for production was 2.5%.
They were mailed out. Portal will be updated later this week.
@Aaronlahood verification?? Will there be anything on the portal? In almost all years, SCA came out with regular decision.
@Aaronlahood if decisions are on the portal, shouldn’t rejections be posted on the portal too?
@filmmaker101 I did some stalking on old threads; most production majors who were accepted were interviewed over the phone and informed they were in the final decision process. However, I found this doesn’t apply to screenwriting or most other SCA majors except production. Probably because production has such a larger applicant pool!
@Aaronlahood So you’re saying they were mailed out with regular decision. We know that; you made it seem as if decision for SCA alone were accessible. That’s the only reason we got so concerned
Portal for SCA will be updated with everyone else on Saturday because we’re not separate from them in any form
Got into Berkeley for fall
would that make USC reconsider me? I want to have an equal view of them both but this spring admit is killing it for me
They come out same time as the rest. Over the past 18 years, have had several students from my school apply and many have gotten into SCA and none of them ever had an interview or found out earlier than anyone else.
Just two forums with many examples of people who were called ahead of time. After five minutes of searching, it’s clear to see that SCA routinely runs its admissions process this way for Production; every Production major accepted so far this year has proven that.
@choirsandstages thank you! Got super bummed. My son got in a ton of UC schools and Pepperdine and state schools. But no ucla and no berkeley. He’s worked so hard and tough to see him not get into his first choice. Hoping usc pulls through. Although wicked expensive!
FYI: Film profuction SCA applicant here. I had a skype interview that lasted 40 minutes and seemed to go so well that it really got my hopes up. I deserved the interview because I submitted a solid application and I have solid stats as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the package today.
I already know of two that got accepted into SCA Film production and both have the message in “current” while mine is in “history”. In addition, I know six more that were accepted to USC and all of them have their message in “current”. We are all in Socal, and it is a small sample size which can be totally meaningless, but I just thought I’d share it with you.
While I am absolutely crushed that I did not get the package today, I want to congratulate all the newly accepted Trojans as well as remind all the applicants here that you are all wonderful people. Unless the mailman placed my package in another mailbox, I won’t be joining you at USC, but you will all have an opportunity to watch the numerous feature films I will be making in the future. God bless all of you!
So are they coming out soon like at 12 am?? Or 12 pm tomorrow? Or midnight tomorrow night? Or 12 pm Saturday? So confused lol
By the way both gals I know that were accepted to Film Production had phone interviews.
@jewels17 noon pst sat
@chrisannaa what do you mean you signed up for usps delivery?
