USC Class of 2028 — Regular & Early Action Decisions

We received the email
Does it mean your app was deferred ?

What are you talking about? USC’s CSS deadline was 1/12 for those who applied EA, and it is 2/7 for those who applied regular decision:

I have not received an email but the information has been on their website for awhile.

The email only went to student email address not parents. I think it’s general reminder to all.

As others have said, there are departmental scholarships available and National Merit Finalists who list USC as their choice will get the Presidential Scholarship even if they don’t get in EA.

What’s the info in it? can you
send a screenshot? I didn’t get an email.

Nope, didn’t get it.

We haven’t gotten a single email from USC since 11/30/23. I will be floored if the kid isn’t deferred (but hope I am wrong, of course!).

Perhaps we were deferred…….

I think if it was a defferal email more people would reporting getting it.

I am going to trust the knowledgeable folks here that say the FA and admissions departments are entirely separate so getting a FA email has no bearing on admissions acceptance or deferral.

(But, I do stand by my earlier post that I fear the entire USC crickets from admissions do not bode well for my student)

Yes! I’m not saying it means anything, just that if it specifically meant defferal as some said, more people would have received it.

Well, right now three responded yes and three not. So this isn’t a majority as of yet……

But why would they sent it to EA applicants? It doesn’t make sense.

Could be a cali thing due to the cal grant or for accepted EA applicants who haven’t done FA yet
