Make sure she declares USC as her first choice with NMSC.
Did she receive either the NMSC $2500 scholarship or a corporate NM scholarship?

Do you think it’s realistic to go to a safety and then transfer into USC as a sophomore instead of having to follow the community college route to transfer?

No not everyone get’s that in their letter.
