<p>WOT-socal vocals is my dream a cappella group. if i’m fortunate enough to get to go to USC, the moment i get there, i’ll be lobbying for a spot. they had seven seniors depart, three girls, and so they need fresh blood. i even mentioned that in my application that i want to audition for a cappella groups (namely the vocals). they won the ICCA this year. the whole she-bang. they are the number one college a cappella group INTERNATIONALLY</p>

… has the advantage of the “Trojan network,” like you’d find at many private schools. Your $C degree will wow people who also went to the school. That counts for something I suppose … just like having a rich daddy donor who can get you into Stanfurd counts for something. </p>
<p>A Cal degree, on the other hand, has the benefit of wowing people who have no connection to the school. That counts for something too. </p>
