<p>Well, Lost In Space, I kinda inferred about your hyperness by the way you packed 5 questions into about 5 sentences lol But my story is pretty much New York isn’t doing it for me, so my aunt who lives in LA told me I could come live with her so I’m headed down in December or January. I’ve already finished one year of CC so I plan on doing one more in California. That way I’ll have residency. But I plan on applying to USC, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, Pepperdine and Occidental for Fall 07. USC is my top choice though. Thats pretty much my story in a nutshell…</p>

<p>I’m considering applying for fall 07 admission and I have a few questions.</p>
<p>1) I know that USC places more emphasis on your HS record if you apply with less than 30hrs. I wasn’t able to start school until Spring 06 due to Hurricane Katrina. I ended up taking a light load (12hrs) and made a 3.5GPA. I’m scheduled for 19hrs this semester and I’m confident and I can earn a higher GPA because I didn’t try as hard as I could have last semester. Is it possible to apply at the end of DEC/early JAN after fall grades have been submitted and bypass this little rule? In other words, apply @ that time with 31 hrs?</p>
<p>2)My high school record isn’t terrible but it isn’t stellar either. I had about a 3.4GPA from a competitive private school, a few AP’s, 1270SAT (760V 510M <em>dies</em>), loads of comm service, and some EC’s thrown in. Should I take some SATII’s? the new SAT?</p>

<p>Definately take a micro or macro now. USC will want to see how you do in base classes like that. Not classes like ‘Intro to urban studies’. Public policy shouldnt be too bad to get into, but this year was tough for everyone. You may want to try and get your gpa up.</p>
<p>Thanks, I was taking the Intro to US class because my major is Urban Planning and that what I would be transferring into at USC. But I’m definitely going to switch something out for a micro/macro class. :)</p>
<p>Also, what about the app timetable? By applying after fall grades have been submitted would I be able to avoid the intense scrutiny of my HS record?</p>
