gatoca, the application is due in Feb for transfers… you’ve even got enough time to squeeze winter session classes onto the transcript (as I did) before applying.

mrpuppy, 65k is seriously not bad. 15k more and youre already down to a uc price. for next year just quit your job completly and report 0 income and theyll pay like almost everything.

Heh, I’ve really thought about that, but I still have to pay rent and etc… though very very tempting.

Plus I have to add that my job pays me really really well, and treats me very well… for someone that goes to school full time. They even let me work out of the house and have a pretty flexible schedule. I am going to bust my ass and hopefully get some merit type scholarships to help… I just need the $17,200 for August 18th… so I was like, well I definitely need a loan right now, hopefully later I’ll find a more creative way to pay for school.

where do u work?

hey where’s hobo? havent heard from him in a while.

http://www.symantec.com/index.htm I do engineering and management of their source code. It’s kind of a great college job
since the hours are very slack… normally we start at about noon.

not bad mrpuppy, do you work in LA or is it somewhere else? not a bad job!

I work out of Santa Monica, yeah… the only thing that sucks is since I’m only in the office once in a while I only know my coworkers by their yahoo screen names (we use yahoo messenger for some reason there
) Heh… but it’s not a bad gig at all. And yes… I’m working right now from my new apartment in Downtown
When everyone else moves in we need to do something all…

Agh, but now I’m worried about my FinAid. my EFC is 20k a year, but I know now that I’ll get nothing…Hmm…I really, really don’t want to take out loans…

UGH

i’m still here… just been kinda busy…

haha my work uses yahoo messanger as well

trying to figure out which housing i should get

What do you mean hobo, in terms of housing?

Collegegirl05:Have you gotten the Rush materials yet??? I want to turn in my check but i dont know I may be in europe by the time i can. :(

not too sure which housing is better.

you mean on or off campus?

mrpuppy, sweet job.

technics, ya no way ill take out loans. ill sell one of my kidneys before i have to take out a loan. (not really but u get the idea)

hobo, good to have u back.

yeah I dont want to take out loans too.

How much are your parents helping you with, sex?

“When everyone else moves in we need to do something all…”

mrpuppy’s right. someone needs to keep a list of everyone’s number and needs to call everyone up whenever were gonna all do something. preferrably the person who’s apartment we’re gonna throw the drinkfest at.

Sex, loans aren’t so bad man… especailly student loans. The interest is tax deductable, the rates are low, and they have great payment terms. Really, if you have to get a loan, don’t be afraid to do it… just make sure you only take what you need.

technics, my parents i know can pay up to about 15-20g per year. i dont think they can pay ne more than that. im also hoping to become an RA for 2007-2008 so that way i get room/board free for 2 years.

mrpuppy, ya yr prolly right, but i prefer to be debt free by the time i graduate.

i’m looking at USC owned housing on campus… anyone know which ones are good/bad?

on campus houses for transfers include:

webb
fluor
parkside apartments
parkside suites (yes they’re separate)

these are the only 4 on-campus apartments for transfers (and trust me i’ve done all my research). pardee, marks, and the other ones are reserved only for freshmen.
